How often do we find ourselves saying that we are trying to do something? Trying is a quick, powerful listen that promotes either a call to action or an acceptance of our choice not to take action. It is freedom from the in between. It promotes choice and responsibility. Background music by Narek Merzaei, Relaxation (8 Hz) Forest.

Welcome to Life Unedited,

The Power of Radical Acceptance,

28 Theories of Living in Reality.

This is a series of practical strategies to use in life through the lens of reality for changing obstacles into opportunities.

I'm Tiffany and this is Theory 15,

Trying.

This is a short chapter,

The shortest of the book,

And it packs a punch.

I could try to make it longer,

Except trying is the act of not doing.

We invented the term trying to give ourselves the illusion of effort,

Something to say in the space in between intention and action.

But truthfully,

There is no in-between.

Either we do something,

Or we don't.

Trying lets us say that we're committed without actually committing.

It gives us permission to stay in limbo,

But action doesn't live in limbo.

Action doesn't happen in trying.

There's doing,

There's not doing,

And there's the story we tell ourselves in the space in between.
