The Power of Radical Acceptance.

28 Theories of Living in Reality.

This is a series of practical strategies to use in life through the lens of reality for changing obstacles into opportunities.

I'm Tiffany and this is Theory 19.

Triggers.

That triggered me or they triggered me.

Trigger is the latest greatest buzzword.

It is often used to describe an external experience that seemingly evokes a feeling or mood.

It is also a way to blame that external experience or person and not take accountability for our own feelings or responses.

Feelings happen quickly and often subconsciously.

Sometimes we do not realize that we choose them.

That choice could be a reaction based on a past experience.

It is most often the result of a story we tell ourselves about the person or event.

That is where our energy could be better spent in processing the stories we tell ourselves on the inside rather than blaming the trigger on the outside.

Blaming the trigger disempowers us.

Taking the time to understand our inner story is where we take our power back.
