This meditation is to support you in preparing to ask for a raise or salary negotiations.
Take a deep breath in and let it go.
One of the most important aspects of this topic is the mental preparedness and the inner work required to set you up for a successful conversation and outcome.
That is what I'm going to guide you through today.
So start by finding a comfortable seat.
You might want to sit cross-legged with a straight spine.
You may want to lie down.
For this type of meditation,
I just love to sit on my couch and get really comfortable in a nice cozy position.
Once you've found your spot,
You can close your eyes or just simply lower your gaze and start to slow down your breath,
Deepening your breath as you go along.
We're going to cover three areas today.
First,
Feeling into the energy of a new number.
And then being open to receiving it.
How does it feel to receive this new number?
And then we're going to do a short visualization of visualizing yourself receiving.
Taking a deep breath in and letting it out.
Find a natural and easy rhythm for your breath,
For you to focus,
For you to let go,
For you to just be present in this moment.
Your mindset and developing the right mindset is really crucial during your career,
Particularly when it comes to compensation and asking for a salary increase.
Take a few moments to think about and reflect on what is your current mindset around your compensation.
What story are you telling yourself?
What words are you using?
Is it empowering or is it disempowering?
If it is disempowering,
Are you willing to let it go and write a new,
More compelling version that will support you in achieving your goal?
Are you willing to stop arguing for your limitations?
Take a deep breath in and let it go.
And let it go and visualize yourself letting go all of the narratives and stories and limiting thoughts that you have around your compensation right now.
When you are working with a possibility mindset,
The research shows that the brain performs significantly higher than it does when it's in a stress state or negative or even neutral state.
This is the clarity,
The education and the momentum we require to make a new choice of how life is going to be for us.
Think about the compensation that you want to call in,
That you want to ask for,
That you want to create.
Think about the number in your mind.
Notice what emotions come up when you think about that number.
Can you be open to where the money will come from?
How it will enter your life?
Can you be open to receiving this number and being surprised and delighted by how it shows out for you?
Taking a deep breath in and letting it go.
Now we're going to shift to focusing on how you want to feel.
Visualize yourself receiving a check for this exact amount of money.
Visualize somebody walking towards you and handing you a check for the exact amount of money that you desire.
How do you respond?
What do you notice in your body?
Is it easy to accept?
Or does it feel unlikely?
Are you excited?
Or is there resistance?
Just notice what comes up.
Notice how you feel.
And notice without judgment.
This is the essence of meditation.
Noticing,
Witnessing ourselves,
Observing ourselves,
And being curious,
Removing the judgment.
Now visualize yourself going to the bank to deposit this amount of money,
This check in your hand.
And as you deposit the amount into your bank,
And the bank accepts it and updates your balance,
Allow the feeling of gratitude and thankfulness consume you.
And say to yourself silently,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
Repeat to yourself,
I receive this.
I receive this.
Say it out loud,
I receive this.
Take a deep breath in and breathe into the feeling,
Whatever emotion comes up for you right now,
Breathe into it,
Acknowledge it.
Allow your breath to return to a natural inhalation and exhalation.
What does this amount of money allow for you?
What is now possible in your life?
Who is impacted around you by this amount of money?
Here's how you feel at this moment.
Breathe into the feeling.
Embody this feeling of it already being done,
Achieved.
The pay rise is already yours.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Allow this feeling to consume you.
Notice how it feels.
Stay in the feeling,
In the vibration a little bit longer.
It's okay if you're smiling,
It's okay if you feel excited.
Meditation does not have to be so serious.
Bringing your left hand to your heart and your right hand to your belly,
Taking a deep breath in,
Allowing the breath to fill you completely and letting it go.
Simultaneously coming back into your body,
Bringing your awareness back into the room that you're in,
The space that you occupy.
Gently opening your eyes,
Looking around the room,
Staying in the stillness for a little bit longer.
This is a meditation that you may want to repeat a few times to really embody this feeling of it's already done and then moving into your day with that energy.
