Settle into a position where you feel balanced.

Find your inner balance,

Right to left,

Forward and back,

And top to bottom.

You find your comfortable spot there where you can feel upright with your heart area open and where you can really rest for a few minutes.

You can really just settle in.

You might start with two or three full,

Complete breaths,

Just really enjoying noticing the air move through your nostrils,

Down through your chest,

Filling your belly,

And then just gently letting it all go,

Full inhalations and relaxed,

Long,

Gliding exhalations.

And then just letting your breath settle into its own natural rhythm,

Just at ease.

And just sensing in your body now all of the ways that your body is at ease or relaxed or satisfied.

The mind trusting the body,

The body trusting the mind,

At ease with each other,

At peace,

At ease with each other.

You might picture your body now as a tree,

A tree that has gotten good care and attention,

With how the roots have deepened silently,

Quietly,

Subtly,

Reaching into the earth,

Understanding all the nourishment it needs,

Grounded,

Safe in its place,

And how the branches of the tree have responded to this love and nurturing,

How new growth quietly but surely has sprouted,

The arms of the tree stretching out into the sky,

Beautiful.

At ease with itself.

The leaves of the tree effortlessly soaking in the sunlight,

Drawing nourishment down deep into the tree,

The roots effortlessly finding moisture and nutrients,

Drawing them up deep into the heart of the tree.

This strong,

Beautiful tree,

This tree that carries your spirit,

That's unshakable,

Flourishing now with such love and care.

And trust in yourself that whatever you need,

Whatever you feel you want,

You can seek it here deep within the tree,

Within yourself.

It's all there,

Whole and complete,

Healthy.

Finding the sunlight,

Absorbing the nutrients with no effort,

Just joy in being alive.

Just letting yourself feel the vitality of your whole being,

The aliveness,

The fullness,

The beauty.

Just letting yourself imagine entering deep into the heart of the tree,

The deepest center of the tree.

As if the tree has a heartbeat.

Finding the steadiness there.

In the deepest chambers of the tree of your own being is fullness.

It's your own wisdom.

Your connection to your true essence.

Your being in all its perfection and beauty.

Nothing lacking.

Nothing needing to be fixed.

Just fullness,

Vitality,

Beauty.

And offering this tree,

This symbol of your own being,

Your gratitude for sustaining you and promising it your protection.

You might think of it as encircling it with an invisible fence where nothing can come into harm this tree.

It's allowed to be free.

It's allowed to enjoy the sunlight.

It's allowed to drink from the soil and simply be as it is.

Keeping off beauty and love simply by being itself.

And in the hours and days to come,

Whenever challenging or difficult moments arise,

Just vowing to trust yourself to look within for what you seek.

To look within and sense your strength,

Your rootedness,

Your expansiveness,

The whole glory of you.

Remember to be tricked again into thinking that you are anything less than you are.

Give yourself your own love and protection.

May you be safe and free and protected from inner and outer harm.

May you be happy and contented.

May you be healthy and whole.

May you experience ease of well-being for all of your days.

And may all beings be safe and free and protected from inner and outer harm.

May they too be happy and contented.

May they be healthy and whole.

May they experience ease of well-being.

May all beings be happy.

May all beings be at peace.

May all beings be free.

Great! And I visualized a tree with wings: inhabited by the birds I love to watch in nature.
