Welcome to your calm in the storm meditation.
I'm your guide,
Terri Cole.
Please start by finding a comfortable place to sit down for the next 10 minutes or so or you will be undisturbed.
Turn off your cell phone,
Close the door.
If you have any lavender oil,
Put a few drops on your hands,
Rub them together and take a nice deep breath.
Make any last-minute adjustments and let's begin.
Start by taking four deep releasing breaths.
Visualize inhaling peaceful positive energy and exhaling any sense of overwhelm you may be experiencing.
Let's do this three more times.
I want you to visualize a beautiful amethyst calming light coming in through the top of your head at the crown chakra and moving down your head to your neck,
Moving into your shoulders.
Feel this light pouring from your shoulders into your upper,
Your middle,
And your lower back,
Pouring straight into your torso,
Illuminating all of your internal organs and your pelvis.
Every part of your body that this light touches instantly relaxes.
So feel this light moving down your arms to your hands,
Moving from your hips down your thighs to your knees,
Your shins,
Your calves,
And your feet.
And now I'm going to ask you to do a full body scan,
Starting with your head.
And if there's any areas that remain constricted,
I want you to put your intention on that area.
Take a deep breath and exhale and feel that last bit of tension leaving your body with your exhalation.
Your entire body now is bathed in a cocoon or a halo of this healing amethyst calming light.
So now I'm going to ask you to visualize your to-do list for this day.
How many items are on that list?
Do you have enough time to get them all done?
I find that in our over scheduled lives,
It is so easy to become overwhelmed with all of the things that seem like they need to be done in one 24 hour period.
Feeling overwhelmed creates constriction in your body.
Constriction in your body blocks the flow of your abundance in all areas of your life.
Therefore,
We have no desire to be overwhelmed on a daily basis.
So take a deep breath into whatever spot that that overwhelm shows up in your body and release.
In this meditation,
You'll learn how to take the time to create some stillness and silence and internal space on a daily basis that will help you release the feelings of being overwhelmed.
It will also increase your physical,
Mental,
And spiritual well-being.
It will help with your focus and productivity as well.
It will probably make your family happy too.
So I'm going to ask you to visualize all the things that you need to do today,
Falling into place with ease and grace.
Visualize yourself floating through your day,
Calm and productive with more than enough time to get each one completed.
Your affirmation for today is there's always more than enough time.
Take a deep breath and let that feeling sink into you as you release any fearful thoughts,
Any anxiety right now.
Feel the constriction leaving your body with your breath.
For the next few minutes,
I'm just going to ask you to float in that feeling of calm and centered knowing that everything is going to fall into place with ease and grace.
You have the power to choose your feeling state on a daily basis.
So I'm going to ask you to conjure the feelings of joy,
Gratitude,
And love in the center of your chest right now.
You can use these feelings at any point to lift you out of feeling overwhelmed anytime during the day.
I'm going to ask you to be mindful of the language that you use to describe your day or describe your state of mind when someone asks you,
How are you?
How do you respond?
Crazed?
Busy,
Busy,
Busy?
Not enough time?
If that is what you're saying all the time,
Then that is what you continue to affirm.
To create balance,
You need to change your language and change your mind.
It is work,
But it's worth the effort.
Slow down.
Create perspective today for your to-do list and every day for your to-do list.
In the big scheme of things,
If you were abducted by aliens right now,
The sun would still come up tomorrow.
At a cosmic level,
No matter what is happening,
It is all okay now and evermore.
And now I will slowly count back from 10 to 1.
And when I get to 1,
You will have a feeling of simple calm that will stay with you all day today.

Feeling tranquil and relaxed.
8,
7,
Feeling incredibly grateful.
6,
5,
Feeling at total peace.
4,
3,
Feeling expansive and relaxed.
2,
1.
Now slowly bring your consciousness back to your body.
Stretch your hands,
Rock your feet a little and give yourself a nice,
Big,
Full body stretch.
You are ready to calmly go about your day with this deep sense that you are exactly where you're supposed to be and have more than enough time.
Stay committed to this feeling all day long and,
