Welcome,
Love.
Begin by arriving,
Not all at once,
Just one breath at a time.
Let your body soften,
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your hands rest.
You are allowed to be here exactly as you are.
Close your eyes if you wish and let your attention drift inward,
Like a leaf following the current.
Let your breath guide you there.
Now imagine water,
Not crashing waves or roaring storms,
But something softer,
A stream,
A quiet river,
Or the steady lap of a tide against a shore.
This water has no need to rush,
It doesn't ask permission to move,
It simply flows.
With every inhale,
Feel that movement within you,
The expansion,
The spaciousness.
With every exhale,
Let something go,
Tension in the jaw,
Pressure behind the eyes,
A tightness you hadn't noticed until now.
Flow lips in you too,
In your blood,
Your breath,
Your bones.
Even when life feels still,
You are never stagnant.
Let your body respond to this truth,
Maybe a small sway,
A softening in your belly,
A loosening of the grip you didn't realize you were holding.
There are seasons for stillness and seasons for motion,
But underneath them all,
There is flow.
When you feel stuck,
It's often because something within you is trying to move,
And doesn't feel safe to do so.
So let's begin there.
Breathe into that place,
Where the energy wants to shift.
No pushing,
No fixing,
Just listening.
What would happen if you stopped trying to figure it out,
And started letting it move through you,
Like tears,
Like laughter,
Like sound?
You are allowed to change shape.
You are allowed to become something new.
You are allowed to flow toward what's calling you,
Even if you don't know what it is yet.
Now begin to return to the body,
To the space you're in,
To the feeling of being supported beneath you.
Let your breath settle,
But not harden,
Let it remain fluid.
You may want to gently roll your shoulders,
Stretch your spine,
Or place your hands on your heart or belly,
In reverence for all that is shifting in you.
Take one last breath in,
Full and steady.
And as you exhale,
Whisper,
I am not stuck.
I am in motion.
I trust my flow.
And as you return to your day,
Remember always,
You are loved.
You are enough.
You are whole.
