Welcome to this meditation to help you drift into sleep.

The track will end on its own.

You are free to doze off just as soon as you want.

Shuffle your body into a comfortable position as you lie safe and warm in your bed.

Feel the soft pillow beneath your head,

The mattress underneath your body supporting you.

Let out a deep sigh as your eyes close.

Snuggle in,

Make yourself cosy.

Take a deep breath in now and breathe out the stresses of the day.

And one more deep breath,

Allowing your muscles to relax as you let it go.

Turn your attention to the top of your head now and feel any tightness release as the muscles relax.

Let that warm feeling travel down,

Your frown lines falling away as your forehead relaxes.

Your eyes grow heavier,

Your mouth drops open a little and your jaw relaxes.

You feel the warmth and relaxation at the back of your head going down your neck,

Your shoulders releasing any tightness or tension.

Let that warm feeling going down your upper arms,

Your lower arms,

Your wrists,

Hands and fingers.

Feel it going down your upper back and your chest and torso,

Your lower back,

Your buttocks,

Your thighs all relaxing now.

Your knees,

Your calves,

Your lower legs,

Your ankles,

Your feet and your toes.

You are relaxed.

In your mind's eye you arrive in your home portal,

The bedroom of a white palace.

This is your own place of safety where you can come to at any time.

Walking out the main door to this bedroom you come to a grand landing.

Walk along the carpeted corridor until you reach a wooden door.

Opening that door you see a set of stairs leading upwards.

You take them up one step at a time.

And at the top of the stairs is a nursery,

A playroom,

Dimly lit.

You can see shelves and boxes of toys through the gloom.

A ray of light falls on a discarded teddy bear on the floor.

Picking it up you realise it represents a stray thought.

You hold the teddy close,

Hugging it,

Leaving a kiss on its head.

Thanking the bear for its presence,

You tell it,

Thank you for being here,

But it is not time to play now.

Today has been and gone,

And tomorrow is not yet here.

Now we must rest.

We have plenty of time tomorrow.

Giving the teddy bear a final hug,

You put it back in its spot on the shelf.

You look around the floor for any more stray toys,

Picking them up and thanking each one in turn,

Ensuring they are placed where they belong.

The lights become dimmer,

The air warmer.

To the right is a dark blue door,

Decorated with silver stars.

You open it.

The room is an expanse of dark blue twilight.

Stars glitter down as you walk along.

Your feet rest upon clouds as they step forwards.

A deep sense of calm surrounds you.

You take a deep breath in,

Releasing any lingering tension as you breathe out.

You sink down onto a large dark cloud,

Lying comfortably.

A soft velvet blanket draws up over your body as you settle into soft fluffiness.

The stars dim until they are barely visible,

Shining just enough so you know you are safe,

Calm and relaxed.

All you need to do is breathe.

Your eyes close.

Your body is heavy.

Your lungs fill with air as you breathe naturally.

There is nothing but your breath,

Softly rising and falling.

A deep,

Peaceful sleep welcomes you.

You let it envelop you,

Taking you safely into slumber.

I'll stop talking now and let you listen to the gentle music and the soft lapping waves without interruption.

Good night,

Sweet dreams.

Namaste.
