Welcome to this meditation to find a path of love through your grief.
Know you have my sympathy,
I am holding this safe space for you.
Sit or lie down,
Make yourself comfortable.
If you haven't done so already,
Close your eyes,
Take a deep healing breath in and begin to release some of your pain as you breathe out.
And breathe in,
Let tears fall if they want to as you breathe out.
It is okay either way,
This is your time.
Let the watery tears cleanse as you release if they do happen.
Breathe in once more,
Fill your body with revitalising energy and breathe out fear.
Draw your attention to your feet,
About 6 inches or 5 centimetres below your feet you will find your Earth Star Chakra.
It may be a platinum light or a yin and yang symbol,
See it with your mind's eye however you need to.
Breathe deeply.
Bring energy up from the Earth's core and into your Earth Star Chakra.
Feel it anchoring you to the planet,
Feel it stabilising strength.
Know you are grounded and supported.
Let us travel to the opposite chakra now,
All the way up to your stellar gateway 12 inches or 30 centimetres above your head.
Take a deep breath as you connect to Divine or Universal Energy.
Pure and refreshing,
It comes down to you,
Filling you with light.
Down through your head,
Neck,
Shoulders,
Arms and hands.
Down your torso,
Back,
Hips,
Legs and feet.
You are connected to the heavens and earth,
You are one with all things.
Take another deep breath as you allow this feeling of oneness to wrap around you,
To envelop you in a blanket of light.
You are safe.
Recall your loved one now,
The being whose physical presence is no longer by your side.
Think of the happiest memory you shared together.
Let that smile or laugh appear again now and revel in that happiness.
Still holding that memory,
Open your heart chakra in the centre of your chest.
It may glow green,
Pink or white,
Whichever colour you see,
Let it shine.
Allow it to expand and glow brighter.
That cherished memory you are holding,
Its energy goes to your heart chakra now.
There is no limit to its brightness,
Just feel and focus on that love.
Call forth all the love you shared with your special being,
The love you gave to them and that they gave to you,
Collect it all together and fill your heart.
Know that love is still there,
This love never leaves,
It is yours and you can reach out to it at any time you need its comfort.
If you are drawn to,
Wrap your arms around you,
Give yourself a hug,
Full of that love.
I am going to give you a minute here so you can spend time with this love in whatever way you need.
It is nearly time to return to your waking state,
But know that this love goes with you,
All you need to do to access it is to think of that love,
Maybe close your eyes or take a deep breath or self-hug to aid the recollection,
It will always be there for you.
You may experience a surge of emotion as we end this session,
But that's okay,
Feel the feelings.
If you need to talk to someone,
Please do,
There is always someone ready to listen.
Grief is a process,
The only way to get through is to keep going,
Allow it to happen,
Know that you will learn to adjust and that it will get easier.
Bring your attention back to your body,
Give your fingers and toes a little wriggle,
Take a deep breath,
Feel that love still with you and have a virtual hug from me.
