Body Awareness,

A guided meditation by Tara Herrick Brown.

Original music composed by Kristin Williams.

Begin breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.

And settling into yourself.

Feeling the support of the chair or the cushion.

And just noticing the rise and the fall of your chest as you breathe.

The expansion and relaxation of the belly.

With each breath.

And you just notice.

You just become mindful of how you feel.

Allow your awareness to drift towards a part of your body calling your attention.

And just breathe with that awareness.

Just as your chest rises and falls.

Does the sensation rise and fall too?

When you begin paying attention to that sensation.

What happens?

Does the sensation shift in some way?

And just sit in that awareness,

In that perception.

As you breathe.

And with each breath settle inside yourself a bit more.

Like you can pull up a chair.

And that you are supported.

That chair offers you no judgement.

It just holds you.

And that is the settling into yourself.

Into the comfort of yourself.

Into the acceptance of yourself.

Can you sink in and surrender even more?

Can you hold and accept and love those parts of you more?

Even the uncomfortable parts.

Without trying to change or ask it to go away.

I invite you to listen to it.

Like a child that screams to get your attention.

When you finally give them the presence they seek.

They often quiet.

They often calm.

The discomfort in your body started by asking quietly.

But then it felt ignored.

So it got louder and more uncomfortable.

Until you finally listened.

Let that discomfort know you see it and hear it.

That you love it and accept it.

Hold it like a child that wants your attention.

That needs a hug.

Hold all parts of you with loving presence.

Loving kindness.

And acceptance.

Namaste.
