This practice is centered around awakening a personal resolution called Sankalpa. The root of 'San' is Truth and 'Kalpa' is vow. When the body is relaxed and the mind is quiet, the awareness has access to the subconscious where the programs of mind are stored. Whatever you are seeking outwardly you must first awaken inwardly. This is universal Law.

Tanis, that is such a beautiful way to honour ourselves and take the time come back to who I am and want to become. Your tender voice is very calming and I like how you suggest through your mindful words that we can let down the shield and armour we may have out in through the day. I liked this a lot. Sankalpa is my favorite part of yoga nidra and although this is not a yoga nidra it had much the same effect. I did it lying down, although the instructions did say, sitting up straight. The background music was subtle and unobtrusive. I generally prefer silence, but this was OK. I will bookmark this one.
