Let's just take this time to get comfortable.
Adjust into a position where you can find stillness.
It's within that stillness,
And having that intention to quiet the mind is what allows the sensations inside to become louder.
Take a couple of nice deep breaths in.
Inhale through the nose.
Let that movement happen into your stomach and into your rib cage.
Make it like a wave within your torso.
Keeping your exhale lets you fall deeper into the ground below you.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Hold it for a moment.
And then slowly exhale a little bit longer than your inhale,
Like you're blowing out a bum rib.
Take that third deep breath in.
Take your time.
As you finish your inhale,
Hold for just a moment and let it slowly out.
As we've connected with our breath,
You're already beginning to drift into a state of deep relaxation.
Now just let your breath be as it may.
You don't have to force it,
But you may notice as you get deeper into relaxation,
It might be easier to inhale and exhale at a slower,
More controlled pace.
There is nothing else that you have to do except for focus on your breath in and your breath out.
In and out.
Every system in your body has a buddy,
Just like there is a reaction to every action.
You can start to feel yourself being held up by the earth below you and at the same time sinking further into the earth below.
Inhale and exhale.
If at any point you find yourself being distracted by thoughts or to-do lists,
Maybe even the feeling of having to be somewhere else right now,
Be glad that you noticed it in the first place and just let it fade away like the smoke in the air,
Like the wind in the trees,
Or like someone floating down the river in front of you,
Allowing that mind chatter to be just that,
Something you can see and say thank you to.
Let the silence be your teacher.
Letting yourself get out of that reactive mind and into a place of childlike amazement.
Be grateful for every system working together,
Allowing you to be here in this present moment.
Exhale with every cell in your body.
Now let's take this moment to listen to the sounds around you.
Is there wind?
Are there people talking?
Not having to put a name on any of the noises.
Let the commotion around you become the soundtrack of your life right now in this present moment,
Still continuing to focus on the breath,
Using your inhales to fill up and tap into the energy around you,
And on your exhales,
Letting the external noise fade away,
Leaving you with that energy vibrating within.
Inhale,
Growing your awareness,
And exhale into silence,
A silent,
Calm mind.
The calm mind allows us to feel the body's mechanisms and processes with just a little bit more clarity,
Almost switching your focus to get a good understanding of your own sounds.
Can you hear the breath?
Are there sounds of digestion happening?
Is there a creek of ligaments or bones?
Can you hear the heartbeat or the blood pumping through your veins?
Just like we did with the external noises,
Let's listen to each one individually.
Without judgment,
And leave the need to put a label on it behind you.
You can even find a sense of gratitude,
Enjoying the sound and rhythm of the beat of your heart,
Listening in to the wave-like breath movement that mimics the ocean.
Now that we've listened in,
Let's switch our focus and really start to intensify the feeling within,
Feeling the blood pumping.
Feeling the thump of the heart,
And really take notice of that rise and fall of the chest and the stomach with every breath,
And really feel into those sensations that come from the movement within the intestines,
Gaining an understanding of that gut-mind connection.
All the systems in the body working perfectly in sync with one another so that you can be lucky enough to have consciousness.
Think about your body as a whole,
Feeling every cell at once,
And really start to feel a vibration,
Knowing that with every breath in and breath out is a chance to tune in to your vibrational cellular makeup.
Pressing in on how it feels,
Allowing that awareness just begin to grow,
Knowing that the stillness is what allows yourself to feel more intensely.
Just as we are ourselves individuals,
We make a contribution to the bigger picture.
So we're going to focus in on one individual hardworking cell.
You can pick any cell from the skin cell all the way down to your bone marrow.
Maybe even think about a part of your body that needs that extra focus and intention.
With just your imagination,
You're able to feel and influence the healing process anywhere in the body,
Zooming in to this area of your body so small that it would hardly seem to make a difference.
But know,
With just your imagination,
You are capable of making change within yourself,
One cell at a time.
Start that cell with your intention,
Using a word like a medicine,
Feeling love,
A sense of gratitude,
Or just feeling the sensations of self-worth.
To make room for that intention,
Go ahead and let go of all of the stresses that you hold so deep down,
Feeling the movement or a heat sensation or a cold sensation,
Cementing that idea of self-love,
Awareness,
And healing within the cell that you've chosen.
As you make room for that one cell's positivity,
You start to feel the body's mechanisms healing,
Maybe with a sensation of heat or cold,
Maybe it's a tingling sensation.
Know that whatever comes up for you is exactly what you need.
Start to grow that sensation outward.
With every inhale,
Grow that healing vibrational reaction.
Starts to have an effect on the surrounding inner workings.
You can notice that it starts spreading like a wildfire,
Imagining the fire within us taking over,
Dissipating those insecurities and stresses and making room for an entire body vibrating,
Healing and growing a sense of intuition.
Breathe in one last time.
Hold and finally exhale yourself into full relaxation.
Slowly open your eyes,
Taking in the world around you,
Listening to the noises,
And slowly moving your fingers and toes just to come back into the body.
Go into the rest of your day with a newfound gratefulness for your body and all the systems that are fighting for balance within.
