I invite you to find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down.

Let's start our journey with a few deep breaths together.

Breathing in deeply.

And letting go with a long out breath.

And one more deep breath.

And with the out breath,

Feel your energy drop into a deeper part of your body.

And your body.

And your belly.

And allowing your nervous system and your body to relax.

And find stillness.

And with that I invite you to come for a little walk with me.

Walking down a little trail to a beach on a sunny spring morning.

And the sun has just come up on this place,

Its magical colours reflected on the ocean.

And all the birds are so giddy to announce the spring.

To celebrate this very day.

Listen to all the different sounds they make.

And imagine they are celebrating you.

To open to receive their cheerfulness,

Their chattiness,

Their excitement about spring announcing itself through them.

As you walk down the beach,

You see this beautiful pussy willow tree.

And you walk there because you love pussy willows.

You really want to take some home but before you do you ask the tree,

If you may.

Because it's a special day.

And as you listen,

The tree starts to communicate with you.

It's an old tree.

Feels like a wise tree.

With a lot of character to it.

You decide to actually take the time and sit down by its roots.

Lean your back against it.

And listen just a little bit deeper.

Listen with your whole body.

Understanding the wisdom of the tree that has been standing here for many,

Many years.

Deeply rooted.

And watching.

Watching the sun rise every morning.

The rain pour.

The snow fall.

Dogs moving across the ocean.

Standing in the scorching heat in the summer.

And just being a tree.

Just imagine how you can look at your life that way.

Witnessing all the emotional weather moving through you.

The fears and the sorrows.

The pain and the hardship.

The sweetness and the joy.

When you're really present.

For any little magical moment that occurs within every day.

A cat in a basket cleaning her paws.

Or the delight of a little child.

The sun rising yet another day.

And you just being present with it.

And then this moves and the fog moves and you can't see clearly.

Your head is foggy and nothing makes sense.

And you just witness.

Because that too is fleeting.

And a big wind comes in and pushes the fog away.

And brings rain.

And sadness.

If you allow the teardrops to fall and be sad.

Be with your own sadness and hold yourself.

In your own sadness being present.

With compassion.

Because in your deep grounded wisdom you know the rains will pass too.

And just being present with whatever emotion or whatever struggle.

Just invite it in.

Be present.

Like a mother holds her tender child.

Hold your own feeling.

Your own struggle.

With deep compassion and love.

Knowing that the more present you are.

If you're not avoiding,

If you're not running away.

This feeling too will pass.

The weather will change.

And another little miracle will land in one of your branches.

And sing a beautiful song.

Just for you.

Open.

To receive.

All of nature is displaying her beauty just for you.

I invite you to place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.

Coming back into your body.

Waking the tree that you have been leaning against.

For sharing its wisdom.

And if he agrees you might want to pick a few branches of pussy willow to take home.

And put on your table.

To remember.

And slowly coming back to this room,

To this moment.

Becoming present with where you are.

And then gently,

Gently opening your eyes.

Thank you, SybilleπŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»A couple of years ago, I was exploring the outskirts of my future city, and came upon this fenomenal, majestic tree, a willow, standing in it stark naked glory. I immediately fell in love with this tree, and felt welcomed. Since then, I have visited the tree several times, witnessed its summer glory. Your meditation has refined my experience of this willow. Thank you for that expansionπŸ™πŸ»πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸ™πŸ»
