Welcome to this morning EFT tapping session for some lovely gratitude.
Now this session is a really gentle and beautiful way to start your day as we move through three really simple rounds of tapping together.
Okay,
So take a moment to settle there where you're sitting and let's begin with a nice slow breath in through the nose.
Nice big inhale.
And then letting go on exhale.
Well done.
Now,
What we're going to do for this first round is we're going to start by making a little bit of space because before we can fully step into this new day,
We're going to gently acknowledge anything that we might be carrying from yesterday or last night.
So that might be any tension,
Any stresses or any worries.
So we're going to simply notice that and let it go.
OK,
So tapping on the side of the hands,
Repeating after me in your mind or out loud.
Even though I'm still carrying some of yesterday with me.
I'm open to releasing it now.
Even though my mind has been busy.
Maybe before bed last night or even this morning.
It's always wearing away.
I choose to be compassionate with my problem solving mind.
And then final time on the side of the hand.
Even though I'm not sure if I'm ready to be grateful yet.
Feel grateful yet.
I'm willing to start here exactly as I am.
And I choose to deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Well done.
So we're going to move through the points now.
So just tapping and breathing,
Tapping on the eyebrow points,
Repeating after me.
There's a lot I've been holding on to.
Side of the eye.
Thoughts from yesterday.
Worries about today.
Under the eye,
My nervous system has been working really hard.
Under the nose,
Maybe I've been carrying more than I realised.
Pinpoint and that's okay i can see how i've been doing my best collarbone points but I don't need to carry it into this new morning.
Under the arm i can begin to just set it down top of the head.
I'm releasing what no longer belongs to this moment.
To this day.
And just let it go as you tap and breathe.
Releasing yesterday,
Last night.
OK,
So for this second round,
What we're going to be doing is some gratitude reflection and we're going to be tuning in a little bit.
All right.
So you don't need to say anything out loud here.
You're going to be just listening to my voice and just thinking as you tap,
Really.
So it can be helpful to close your eyes.
If you don't feel comfortable doing that,
That's completely fine.
Just soften your gaze or let your eyelids rest a little bit.
OK,
So just tapping on the eyebrow points,
Listening to my voice.
No need to say anything here.
And we're just going to think about gratitude and how sometimes it can come with a certain pressure.
We're told that we should be doing this gratitude practice,
Right?
But the good news is then there's no shoulds here.
We don't do shoulds here.
So we're going to let those shoulds go for a moment.
We're not forcing any positivity or positive vibes only.
This tapping is just an invitation.
It's just an invitation and there's no pressure here.
We're just wondering if we could try gratitude today.
With just being curious.
Side of the eye and it might seem surprising to know that gratitude is actually something really powerful that we can do for our nervous systems.
Because when we're consciously shifting our attention towards what's good time and time again,
Even something really small,
Our brain begins to rewire.
So it literally changes the chemistry of how we feel over time.
And remember this isn't about pretending that everything is perfect.
Because having that daily gratitude practice doesn't ask you to ignore life.
You know,
There are some hard and challenging things that happen in life because it's not realistic to just ignore those things.
What gratitude is asking is for you to just look.
You know,
Really look for what's also true.
And something good.
Is almost always true.
Moving now to under the eye.
And I'd like you to think about the last time that someone thanked you.
So not just a polite thank you in a shop,
But a moment where someone really actually meant it.
They said thank you to you.
Or perhaps thinking about the last time that you saw something that kind of stopped you in your tracks.
That could be a beautiful sunset or a child laughing their head off or an unexpected act of kindness between strangers.
Just remember how.
.
.
Those things feel in your body you know you get a little kind of catch in your chest You soften a little bit.
You didn't have to work hard for it.
It just happened.
And that's how gratitude feels as it moves through your body.
And the beautiful thing is you can really consciously create that same feeling.
You don't have to wait for life to hand it to you.
Tapping and breathing.
Moving now to under the nose.
And what gratitude does is it pulls us out of the past and the future and it kind of plonks us right here in this moment.
It's like,
Hello,
I'm here.
You're here.
We're here.
This is life.
This is now.
This is presence.
This is gratitude.
And this moment right now.
Is the only place life is actually happening.
Right now.
Life is happening.
Moving to the chin point.
And I know that so much.
Of our suffering and i mean literally so much of it comes from our mind's habit of just scanning all the time for what's wrong like what's missing What didn't work out?
What don't we have yet?
What we said,
What we didn't say.
What others have got that we don't have.
And this isn't a character flaw.
It's actually how the human brain is wired because it evolved to look for problems to keep us safe.
So it's always on alert,
Trying to find things.
To keep us safe.
Course in modern life you know that same mechanism can keep us locked in that kind of loop of lack and scarcity always replaying what's not enough who hurt us what we're still waiting for So gratitude doesn't ask.
For you to pretend that none of that is real.
It's very real.
It's not asking you to make it positive.
Okay,
It's just asking you to widen the lens just a little bit.
So that what's good,
What's steady.
And what's kind of quietly working in your life.
Gets to be part of the picture too.
Because it's always easy to make the bad stuff the whole picture.
But it's not the whole picture.
And there's always good things,
Even on the hardest days.
There's always something,
Even if it's really small.
So moving now to the collarbone points.
And I'd love for you now to think of one thing that you feel grateful for today.
Just one thing.
And if today is feeling a bit heavy or out of reach,
How about yesterday or sometime this week or this month?
It doesn't matter.
And this one thing doesn't have to be big or profound.
It could just be your morning cup of coffee.
Person or friend who you love.
Your pets.
Your bed,
Feeling cosy.
Fact that you're present you're here for this tapping So I'll give you a moment to bring that one thing to mind.
So just finding that one thing.
Well done.
So now you have that one thing.
Let's tap under the arm.
And I'd like you to kind of escort all of your attention to this thing.
So bring it in full colour,
Make it really vivid.
If it's a person,
I would love for you to see their face,
Hear their voice.
Perhaps remembering that specific moment with them.
If it's something simple like that morning coffee or your bed or the fact that your body carried you through another night,
Let yourself actually feel that.
Feel how important that is.
Feel how different life would be without it.
Bring it really alive.
And notice now what's happening with your body right now in this moment.
Maybe there is a kind of warmth spreading across your chest.
Maybe your shoulders dropped.
Just a little bit Maybe your heart is starting to feel full and joyful.
Maybe a soft smile is forming on your lips.
Whatever's happening,
Just notice it and stay with it.
Don't rush past these lovely feelings of gratitude.
Tapping and breathing as you feel all the fields.
Putting yourself back in that moment.
Being there.
You know,
We are so conditioned to really move so quickly through life,
Through our days,
To tick off things on our to-do list,
To get on with the day.
But this,
This feeling.
This is actually what we're looking for underneath everything that we're chasing.
It was here the whole time.
And it's yours right now.
No one can take this away from you.
No one can take this moment away from you.
So really feel that gratitude in your mind,
In your body,
In your soul,
In your heart.
Well done,
So top of the head.
Just acknowledging that you did something really powerful just now.
You chose where to place your attention.
You let go of the shoulds and you chose and you were open minded enough to try this happening today.
And you chose gratitude.
And that's amazing.
And that choice,
You know,
When you make that every day,
Time and time again,
That's going to slowly change everything.
And instead of that place of lack and scarcity,
We move to abundance.
Okay,
Well done.
We're going to do the final round now where we're just going to be opening up with some beautiful affirmations.
So eyes open,
Tapping on the eyebrow points.
I'm open to noticing small things today.
Side of the eye,
The things I usually rush past.
So just thinking about going through your day,
Maybe a little bit slower.
Under the eye,
Noticing a kind word.
A moment of warmth.
Light streaming through a window Under the nose,
There's more goodness around me than I often realise.
I'm grateful to be alive in this body on this day.
Collarbone points.
I'm grateful for the people who love me.
And for those that I get to love.
Under the arm.
Carry gratitude with me as I move through today.
Top of the head.
I'm grateful I'm present.
And I'm ready Okay,
Well done.
So stop tapping here.
Just place your hands on your heart and close your eyes.
Take a moment to notice how you feel.
Maybe you feel a little lighter.
A little more appreciative.
Maybe even excited to start your day.
Whatever is here is welcome.
And let's repeat that final affirmation a couple more times in your just in your mind.
I'm grateful.
I'm present.
I'm ready.
I'm grateful I'm present.
I'm ready.
And you can carry this feeling with you today.
So notice the small things and let them matter.
OK,
So open your eyes,
Have a little stretch.
Thank you so much for starting your morning this way.
It's a beautiful gift that you've given yourself.
Thank you for being here.
Take care.
