When we forgive ourselves or others we open ourselves up for more love, joy, and goodness. Opening and loving yourself even more every single day takes practice, and looking into the heart space is where it all begins.

This is a meditation for forgiveness.

And when we forgive ourselves or others,

We create an open vessel within ourselves to have more,

More goodness in our life,

More love,

More joy,

More prosperity.

Because in holding resentments,

We keep that individual or that circumstance or that negative experience chained to ourselves.

So forgiveness is a practice that needs to happen daily,

If humanly possible.

And beginning with yourself is always a good idea.

But today we're going to begin with anyone that you may be holding in resentment,

In an unforgiving place in your heart,

So that your heart may be clear for greater love,

Greater love within yourself,

Greater access to the highest good that you already are.

So let's begin.

Taking a deep breath,

Breathing into your heart space,

Allowing it to open and breathing out.

And again,

Breathing in,

Allowing that heart to open just a little bit more and breathing out.

And take a moment to think of anyone that you've been holding resentment towards,

Anyone that you feel would be very difficult to forgive.

Good.

And now with another breath,

Breathing in and exhaling love.

Imagine yourself in a circle surrounded by people,

Beings,

Angels,

Spirit guides,

Shoulder to shoulder on your circle here for you.

And as you stand in the center of the circle,

Breathing in love,

Exhaling love.

Feel that love filling up your circle.

Feel the love that these beings,

These gentle spirit guides are giving to you.

And just breathe in love and exhale love.

Breathing in love,

Exhaling love.

Begin to feel that the entire circle is full of love.

Feeling that circulation of love as you breathe out love,

You are breathing in their love,

Your love,

Feeling it grow until the circle is just full,

Full of love,

The highest love.

And now imagine your higher self joining you in this circle.

See what your higher self looks like or feels like.

And know that this higher self is always available to you within this circle of love,

Within your heart when you open to love.

And this higher self is here for you always.

And now I want you to invite into the circle the person or persons that you feel you're ready to forgive.

And see that individual standing across from you within your circle.

This is the person that has caused you pain that perhaps you put outside of your heart so that you could protect your heart.

Just feel this person and the resentment or the anger or the unforgiveness that you have towards them.

And notice how you feel.

Notice how your heart feels as you see this person.

Notice whatever qualities are blocking this person from being forgiven,

From being allowed into your heart once more.

And just notice.

Breathing in love and exhaling love and begin to say,

I forgive you.

I forgive you.

I forgive you for whatever you may have done that caused me pain in the past,

Intentionally or unintentionally,

Through your words or actions or even your thoughts.

However you hurt me,

I forgive you.

Keeping your heart open and allowing the experience.

I forgive you for whatever pain you caused me through your confusion,

Your distrust,

Through your anger or your seeming separateness.

Whatever you caused me pain,

I forgive you.

And notice their reaction.

Notice how you feel.

Notice that there is compassion.

There is kindness.

There is love.

And see if you can allow them back into your heart.

Breathing in love,

Exhaling love.

And once again,

I forgive you.

Say to them,

I wish for you to be happy.

And I forgive you for not knowing your pain,

Your anger,

Your fear.

I forgive you.

And now I let you go.

Breathing in love,

Exhaling love.

Good.

And now invite someone into your circle that is still overflowing with love.

Someone who has resentment or anger or unforgiveness towards you.

Someone who has put you out of their heart.

Someone who's judged you or you may have caused them pain.

And again,

Notice how you feel.

Breathing in love,

Breathing out love.

And as you begin to allow them into your heart,

Notice whatever may be blocking them from that entrance.

Whatever emotions,

Whatever fears.

Just notice what might be limiting your forgiveness and their forgiveness without judgment.

And ask now for their forgiveness.

Say to them,

I ask for your forgiveness.

However I may have hurt you,

Intentionally or unintentionally,

Through my confusion,

My fear,

My anger,

My pain,

I ask that you forgive me.

And allow that forgiveness in.

Feel the compassion,

The kindness,

The love.

Breathing it in.

And allow yourself to be free,

Free of all of it.

Asking again for their forgiveness.

I ask your forgiveness for whatever I may have done through my forgetfulness,

My misunderstanding,

My fear.

I could not contain my pain and it spilled out on you.

And I ask that you forgive me now.

Breathing in love,

Breathing out love.

And feel that forgiveness within your heart.

Allow it to be so.

And then let them go on their way,

Knowing that there is a place in both of your hearts now where love resides.

And now in your circle of love that's radiating and pulsating with the forgiveness that has been created this day and with the support of your higher self,

Put your hand over your heart and say to yourself,

I forgive you.

I forgive you using your name.

I forgive you.

You have been carrying all of this baggage,

This garbage for so long.

The self-negation,

Self-abuse,

Self-judgment.

And allow yourself right now to forgive yourself.

I forgive you using your name.

Breathing in love,

Allow whatever parts of yourself that you have disenfranchised because of your judgment,

Because of your self-anger,

Allow those parts of yourself to reintegrate into your heart.

Feeling compassion for yourself,

Feeling kindness,

Feeling love.

Breathing in love and compassion and kindness,

Feeling it fill every cell of your body,

Feeling it erase any negativity in your mind,

Feeling it soften your heart.

Breathing in love and exhaling love and notice how you feel.

Good.

And now is the time to say goodbye to your circle of astounding beings and spirit guides,

To say farewell to your higher self for the moment.

Feeling the love that has been given and received coming back into your earth plane body,

Back into the room you're in,

Back into yourself,

Being fully present with who you are now.

And so it is.
