Morning,
Good afternoon,
Good evening.
Let us launch straight in.
We can ask any questions in a little while if we have any.
I can say a few words,
Whatever So.
Just sitting quietly.
Let's sit like a mountain.
A mountain is still.
There is a stillness to a mountain.
Not rigid,
But just still.
A mountain is just here.
Present.
Lost in past and future.
In fact,
They don't exist to a mountain.
Mountain just sits.
Don't worry about the storms or the sunshine and the rain,
Avalanches.
Mountain never leaves this moment.
Can we just relax into this moment with the sounds and the sensations,
The breath A mountain doesn't fight with the clouds.
Tingle your whole body.
And try to chase them away.
We have a similar attitude to thoughts.
Just like the clouds that are going to arise.
In some ways they are none of your business,
None of our business.
It's a program.
And what they are telling you is not real,
It is not true.
Just attuning to this sense of presence.
Feel into it.
What is it?
To always heal.
Silent and still.
Don't think about it.
It's not an intellectual exercise.
Mountain has no expectations.
Chicken that you've not stiffened up.
Yeah,
Just take a deep breath and relax,
Just there's nowhere to get.
There's nothing to achieve.
It's a relief.
Unless mind tells you otherwise.
And you believe it.
So it's Friday,
So if anybody does have a question or an observation,
Unmute yourself or put it in the chat So other than practical and.
.
.
Functional thinking which is fine,
That's what the mind is great for.
All the self-centered,
Ego-centered thoughts are all lies.
Now I've mentioned before you look at the word belief and in the middle is LIE.
If you look in a dictionary,
What is the belief?
It's something taken to be true without evidence.
But if you want evidence,
Where do we look?
We use more words.
We use more beliefs.
But I'm no good.
Let's say it's a core belief.
Then to believe that,
What do we do?
Well,
It's true.
That's another belief.
Belief after belief after belief,
It just loops,
There's no way out I believe I am good enough just to believe.
You can't get out of it through thought.
Because belief-thought is the problem.
So if you believe you can get out of it with thought,
It's just another belief.
So we're in the grip of.
.
.
Core beliefs.
You look at your own mind for a little while and look at other people,
If you work with other people you can see it's just obvious.
Just beliefs after beliefs after beliefs.
An ego mind,
I mean,
There isn't an ego,
But we use it as a term.
For this sort of.
.
.
Loop,
Loop,
Loopy thinking.
I don't mean loopy as in,
I just thought kind of loops.
There was.
.
.
Thoughts are just loops,
They don't lead anywhere other than more restriction,
More tightness,
More beliefs.
My rigidity.
More misery.
So I'm not suggesting analysis,
If that's your way it's fine,
But what I'm suggesting here is.
.
.
Do you see them?
Leave them alone.
That's why we sit quietly.
So a thought arises.
I'll never succeed at that.
Whatever.
It doesn't matter what it is.
It doesn't matter.
There it is.
What am I going to have for dinner tonight?
We meet it.
Two ways to meet it,
I'm suggesting,
On complete silence.
Don't do anything,
Just see it.
Then see you're not feeding it,
You're not pushing away.
Pushing it away and you're not feeling it.
We tend not to want to do that though,
We want to get to work on it.
Because the ego.
.
.
Ego thinking things that can solve ego thinking.
It's a way of maintaining its control.
Wants to stay alive,
Everything wants to stay alive.
Even if it only is a.
.
.
Pattern of thoughts.
In other words,
We've done it before,
Having a thought.
And never get home for dinner.
Having a thought is such a,
Is such a woolly.
Having a thought are.
I'm just ridiculous.
We have to see it as a thought and not a truth,
Because it's not true.
What makes it true are other thoughts.
She's crazy.
And we haven't seen that because it's crept upon us.
So it's like thoughts playing ping pong.
One end,
Then the thought runs to the other end.
Hits it back,
Runs round the other end,
Hits it back,
And it's just thought playing ping pong with itself.
But when we sit in silence.
.
.
Start to see the game.
That's why there's nowhere to get.
There's just something to be seen and to be witnessed and to be observed.
Oh.
Right.
Okay.
200.
Sometimes i feel like i'm a mess because i'm just Believing all this?
So we have thoughts.
Repeated many times,
Like we do,
Or like just happened,
It just happens,
Doesn't it?
They don't ask permission to arise,
They just arise,
They don't tap you on the shoulder and say,
Do you mind if I appear?
So a thought repeated many times becomes a belief.
And a belief believed many times becomes a sense of identity.
And there you have it.
I am an anxious person now.
I am.
Personal worries a lot,
I am.
Tototo.
There's your identity.
And made your own documentary.
Or a little documentary that you keep watching every day and adding little bits to.
The documentary of me.
The thing is we're already free.
Got those thoughts,
There's a.
.
.
They are not actually.
.
.
Really in the sense we believe they are.
The Word Tomorrow.
You open it up.
It doesn't have tomorrow in it.
They're empty.
They're just very,
Very useful,
Brilliant pointers.
Can't live without them.
No,
We can't,
But.
.
.
Can't live together very well without them.
What a wonderful tool.
OK.
Thank you,
Guys.
Them.
Yeah,
Hope you have a good weekend.
