Chapter 4 Love Night arrived and sky took on the darkest shade of blue.
Breeve had never seen stars twinkling in the night before,
Since she and her tribe retreated into the cave each day at twilight.
And she wondered to herself,
Where had the sun gone?
Her senses heightened,
She could hear singing in the distance.
So she climbed down from her branch and followed the enchanting sound.
She made her way through the trees,
Twigs snapping beneath her feet.
The singing did not stop.
She reached a large lake where she was greeted by the most amazing sight.
Unlike anything she had seen before,
It was the moon taking a drink from the lake.
The rays of silver light glistened and rippled over the lake's skin,
Creating a beautiful pattern that mirrored the night sky.
The moon stopped as she sensed Breeve's presence.
They both paused for a moment and Breeve could feel the moon's love for warmth.
The moment was broken when a bloat of hippos also arrived,
To a drink from the lake.
The moon shot back up into her place in the night sky.
Breeve climbed the nearest tree and continued to watch her sing in the sky,
Eventually falling asleep.
The next morning she was woken by more singing,
This time by birds.
She panicked,
Wondering where the moon had gone,
And felt frustrated that she had let her slip away without saying goodbye.
Breeve forgot about the crystal,
Instead her mind was completely occupied with seeing the moon again.
Breeve had never felt such a strong emotional pull to another before.
Her heart felt energised and her mind felt in a muddle.
The day felt like the longest she had ever experienced,
And she anxiously checked the lake over and over in anticipation of the moon's return.
As the sun started to set,
Breeve heard the moon singing,
And her heart flooded with love and hope once more.
I was worried you wouldn't return,
Breeve said in her excitement.
The moon beamed back a wonderful smile at her.
Will you stay with me here?
I'm afraid I won't be happy without you,
Breeve said in desperation.
The stars in the night sky overheard Breeve's plea and cried out to the moon to return to them.
I'm sorry,
But my home is among the stars,
Said the moon.
Breeve begged the moon again and her eyes filled with tears.
Please,
Please stay.
The stars flickered their lights in protest,
Hoping to get the moon's attention.
But the moon was in no rush.
Understanding deeply the emotion of love,
She placed her hands on Breeve's heart.
Love can sometimes be a complicated emotion,
She said,
Trying to comfort the girl.
But even though it's complicated,
It has great lessons to teach us.
Would you like me to teach you something very powerful,
Breeve?
Breeve sniffled and nodded.
These words I'm about to teach you have great power,
And when repeated in times when your heart needs hope,
Can be very healing indeed.
Chapter 4 Exercise Place your hands on your heart and close your eyes,
And repeat these words after me.
Love is within my heart.
It is part of me and not separate from me.
Even in times of uncertainty,
Love does not evade me.
I just need to look deeper.
I enjoy sharing my love with those that cherish it.
I am grateful for those who share love with me.
I pay attention to the world.
Actions speak louder than words.
I know that self-love is key.
Love is all around me.
Love is everywhere in this universe,
Boundless and limitless.
Like the night sky,
Love is infinitely endless.
The stars began to shoot with joy and sparkle with delight as they sensed the moon was about to return home.
Whenever you need to be reminded of love,
Simply look up into the night sky.
And I will be here to remind you that you are never alone,
Said the moon to breathe.
The stars began to sing a beautiful chorus as they lit up the sky in a harmonious display of compassion.
Before breathe could say thank you,
The moon darted back to her rightful place overhead,
Shining her brightest beam for all to see.
The moon darted back to her rightful place overhead,
Shining her brightest beam for all to see.
The moon darted back to her rightful place overhead,
Shining her brightest beam for all
