Breathe a mindful story Chapter 2 is called Creativity. The main character Breathe finds herself in a sticky situation which means she has to be creative and work with the natural flow of her situation to get to calm waters. In this chapter, an easy visualisation meditation called exercise 2 is woven into the story that the listener can take part in if they chose. Throughout the book, listeners can also use crystals as an accompaniment to each chapter if they want.

Chapter 2,

Creativity The blast of wind knocked Bree from the cliff's edge.

A few seconds later she hit the water below and plummeted deep into the sea.

She kicked her legs and waved her arms frantically,

But it was no good.

She didn't know how to swim.

The currents pulled her helplessly to the depths.

She was running out of air and her vision was becoming blurry and dreamlike.

A cloud of sand erupted as her back made contact with the seabed.

Her eyes flickered in and out of focus and she thought to herself that maybe it had been a bad idea to leave home alone.

Little fish and bits of debris brushed past her as she lay on the sandy seafloor.

But even as she faded,

Bree sensed a presence nearby and squintingly opened her eyes.

A large creature floated above her,

Reaching out.

It pressed a seashell against her lips.

Air rushed into her lungs.

With a desperate gasp,

She placed her hands over the seashell,

Held it to her mouth and continued to inhale and exhale steadily.

As her vision became clear,

She saw a magnificent octopus gliding around the seabed,

Radiant with joy at her recovery.

Extending a tentacle,

It wrapped itself around Bree's arm and pulled her up off the seabed.

Come with me,

I will show you how to get back to the surface,

It said.

Sunlight leaked through the water,

Illuminating the kelp forest that surrounded them.

Bree watched as the octopus bloomed and curled with elegance through this mysterious place.

Feel the water's natural flow and work with it,

It urged her calmly.

At first,

Bree struggled to move with the water,

But then,

Like magic,

She began to sail effortlessly within the currents.

Jellyfish glowed with delight,

And the octopus swam in the water.

Jellyfish glowed with delight,

And shellfish blew bubbles of bliss as the pair floated by.

By the time Bree and the octopus made it halfway to the surface,

They had a small audience of fish following them that applauded their synchronized dance.

When they finally made it to the surface,

The octopus said,

Just rest on the water's skin and let the currents take you to land.

Chapter 2 Exercise Close your eyes and imagine you're laying on the beautiful calm sea.

You are safe.

The water is carrying you in its waves,

Rocking you gently from side to side.

The sun is beaming down on you,

Sending you a strong ray of orange light that is infused with healing powers.

The light travels through your belly button into your body.

It courses around your body till it fills you entirely with orange healing power.

With your next exhale,

The beam of light travels back up to the sun to recharge its energy.

Bree rocked along the skin of the water,

Only waking from her gentle trance as she began to tumble in the shallow waves.

The next moment,

She was washed up on shore.

Startled,

She pushed herself onto her feet and the wet grains of sand run back into the water.

She looked down the coastline.

It looked busy with activity,

So she went to investigate.

Chapter 3 Exercise On closer inspection,

She realized it was a group of crabs.

When they noticed the girl,

They side-stepped towards her.

One large crab broke through the middle of the other crabs.

Good afternoon,

The crab with the raised claw said.

Hello,

Can you help me?

I fell from the mountain's edge looking for a crystal.

A crystal?

What crystal?

The crab blurted angrily,

Forcing his claw higher into the sky while treading on another crab's shell.

The red crystal from my home in the mountain,

Bree replied innocently,

Unsure why the crab had become so flustered.

Red crystal,

You say?

You're sure it's red and not orange?

The crab inquired,

Peering closer to see Breve's reaction.

Breve nodded and lightly smiled at the crab,

And he stepped down from the fellow crab's shell.

We are also looking for a crystal,

An orange one.

It went missing yesterday and we have searched the entire beach for it with no luck.

We think maybe the magpies have taken it to the city in the jungle.

He said as he pointed to the blackbirds flying in the sky above.

Once we have searched these beaches,

We will pay them a visit,

He added aggressively.

He gestured at the trees in the distance.

That is where you'll find your crystal.

Then he turned back to his job of searching the beach.

You can't trust anyone,

He shouted to Breve as she walked into the distance.
