Hi,
I'm Stephen Webb,
And welcome to a meditation with very little instructions.
No one's going to tell you how to breathe.
No one's going to tell you where to put your hands.
And we're going to just sit together and let this be easy.
We're going to do very little.
I will be very quiet in this meditation at times and I will keep an eye on the clock.
So allow your body to breathe.
And allow your body to relax.
And we just allow these things to happen.
Your body already knows how to do them.
You will often notice that your mind will wander off.
That's fine.
That's what the mind does.
And may have gone to the shopping or a conversation yesterday,
Or what you're going to do for tea.
We're not going to stop the thoughts,
We're just going to notice them.
Notice we've been away and just bring it back to this moment.
Awareness of your breathing.
Awareness of this moment.
Whatever is happening right now,
Just let it happen.
It could be a sound,
An itch.
A feeling you did not ask for.
We don't need to fix any of it.
We just allow this moment to be what it is.
That's all we're doing here.
That's all we're doing here,
Just being aware.
Meditation is only ever this,
Just coming back to the now.
You'll find yourself going off into a story.
Or planning what happens next.
This isn't failing meditation,
That is the practice.
The muscle we are building is noticing that and then returning to the now.
And you notice when you allow this moment to be and you allow your breath to be.
And just bring your awareness,
You notice the mind does go quiet.
And as we're gonna come to the end of the meditation,
Let's spend the last minute or so just listening.
Just listening.
Doing nothing with what you can hear.
Just allow it to happen.
You And that was it.
That was a meditation.
Nothing to get right.
Nothing you could get wrong.
Just you in this moment,
A bit of coming back.
In a moment I'll guide you back.
And just take this with you into the day.
Whenever it gets loud,
We could just return to now.
Return to what is,
Return to this breath.
So as you just gently open your eyes,
Gently move your arms,
Wiggle your fingers and just look around and just.
.
.
Appreciate that meditation doesn't have to be complicated.
That can be done just by becoming aware.
Thank you for sitting with me today,
And if you don't follow,
Please do.
And then you'll be notified whenever I bring out a new meditation.
And I always appreciate your support.
