
Restoring your True Self

We often forget the qualities we had while we were children before life takes hold and moves us along for the ride. It's time to bring back these inner strengths and enjoy real confidence. This is a 30-minute version of my other meditation.

Meditation to restore your true self.
If you get comfortable into your normal meditation pose.
Let's become aware of our breathing.
Meditation to restore your true self.
Notice while we're breathing in and when we breathe out,
Relax.
You You If you take a slightly deeper breath And as you breathe out make it a bit longer and relax even more You If your mind wonders just bring it back to your breath Take notice of the little things like how it feels to breathe in And enjoy the sensation of letting go as you breathe out You In As you breathe out relax your muscles,
Like your shoulders,
Your neck,
Your face,
Your cheeks and your eyes.
Take notice of the music.
Any other noises you can hear,
Allow it to just come,
Endure awareness and then go.
Remember,
If your mind wanders,
Just bring it back to your breathing or any noise in the room,
Anything that links you to the present moment.
While breathing normally,
You could reverse your breathing.
So instead of breathing in first,
Try breathing out first.
It takes a bit of concentration.
There are no rules on how you breathe,
As long as you're in the present moment.
From the person who we have become,
You could say,
I have thoughts,
But I am not those thoughts.
And repeat that a few times.
I have emotions,
But I am not those emotions.
I have feelings,
But I am not those feelings.
I am not those feelings.
I am not those feelings.
Just because we have these thoughts,
Feelings and emotions,
Doesn't mean we have to be with them and be controlled by them.
Now,
If we move our awareness down through our body to our hearts,
And if we move our awareness down through our body to our hearts,
And if we listen to see exactly how our heart is feeling.
For the moment,
We are just becoming aware of how we are feeling.
We are just becoming aware of how we are feeling.
We are just becoming aware of how we are feeling.
Now,
If we zoom out on our lives,
Out so far that we can see ourselves as a child.
And recognize some of those qualities.
Perhaps you were courageous.
Perhaps you were confident.
Maybe you had a lot more compassion,
Understanding.
Whatever qualities you see,
Picture them as a little glowing light in your eyes.
In your heart.
Now,
If we move our awareness down through our body to our hearts,
And if we move our awareness down through our body to our hearts,
And if we look at our own lives,
We are just becoming aware of how we are feeling.
We are just becoming aware of how we are feeling.
Now,
Every time you breathe out,
Grow that little light.
Now,
If we move our awareness down through our body to our hearts,
And if we look at our own lives,
We are just becoming aware of how we are feeling.
Now,
If we move our awareness down through our body to our hearts,
And if we look at our own lives,
We are just becoming aware of how we are feeling.
Now,
If we move our awareness down through our bodies to our hearts,
And if we look at our own lives,
We are just becoming aware of how we are feeling.
Continue to grow the light until it fills your whole body,
Arms and legs.
Continue to grow the light until it fills your whole body,
Arms and legs.

That is the real you.
That is the true self that has been locked away for so long.

If you see the light as an energy source,
That is going to be with you throughout the day and everywhere you go.
That is the real you.

When you open your eyes,
That energy will be felt and you will be ready to take on the day with all the qualities of your true self.

Wonderful guided meditation, with enough space between the guidance with great background music. The guidance is just enough, not intrusive, but what it should be- gentle suggestions to help achieve a return to our true self, before we were changed by living. I was forced to hike my true self at an early age, to try & conform to what was expected of me. My thoughts & actions were guarded as I tried to be the perfect child, student,friend, wife, mother. But it was never enough. I was verbally abused, never good enough & always a disappointment. Now I am learning to honor and love myself. As a retired slightly disabled senior, Iβm trying to let go of the past & live in the present. Itβs not easy, but gets better with meditation. This meditation is extremely helpful. Thank you.

I really like this meditation, thank you π Iβd love to take away the bell at the end though because if I drift off I really like to remain there rather than woken out of it. The meditation is great though.
