Thank you for joining me for this guided meditation to soothe tired hands.
Please ensure that you are sitting somewhere safe and comfortable and take a moment to ground yourself by feeling the way that your chair,
The floor,
Or the ground is supporting you.
Feel free to close your eyes for all or part of this meditation.
Arrange your hands so that your palms are facing one another,
Bringing your palms very close to each other but not quite touching.
Take a few moments to hold your hands in this position,
Taking a few easy breaths and relaxing your neck and shoulder muscles as much as you can.
As you hold the palms close together,
You may begin to feel a bit of heat between your palms or possibly a tingling sensation.
What you are sensing is energy and you may define this energy in any way that you wish.
Thermal,
Spiritual,
Life force energy,
Or some combination therein.
If you do not sense anything between your palms,
This is perfectly okay.
Just know that energy is flowing and that the energy is no more or no less beneficial whether or not you can sense it there.
Take just a few more moments to hold your hands in this position.
Next,
Place your left hand palm down on your left thigh or knee and place your right hand palm down so that it hovers just above your left hand.
Hold this position for the next few moments,
Taking a few easy breaths and relaxing your neck and shoulder muscles.
Now allow your right hand to gently drop on top of your left hand and relax both hands,
Imagining your right palm sharing soothing energy with your left hand.
Now it is your right hand's turn to receive some energy from your left hand.
Place your right hand palm down on your right thigh or knee and place your left hand palm down so that it's hovering just above your right hand.
Hold this position for the next few moments.
Once again,
Take a couple of easy breaths and relax your neck and shoulder muscles.
Now allow your left hand to gently drop on top of your right hand and relax both hands,
Imagining now that your left palm is sharing soothing energy with your right hand.
To close out this meditation,
Place both hands palm down in your lap.
How are your hands feeling right now?
Take a moment to notice any sensations in your hands,
Their temperature,
Any tingling sensations,
Feelings of lightness or heaviness as they rest there on your lap or anything else that you notice.
Following this recording,
Take as much time as you wish to continue to observe the sensations in your hands along with any general feelings of relaxation or rejuvenation,
Knowing that you can return to this state of awareness whenever you wish.
