This Shakespearean sonnet essentially came to me in a dream. Our intuition often reveals itself via our dreams, and during this particularly vivid dream, my intuition was gently nudging me to make some changes in my life. The resulting poem provides motivation to take the necessary steps to be the best version of oneself. I hope that it will resonate with you wherever you are in life's journey. There is a diamond in your eye,

She told me with a smile.

Your diamond has been knocked askew,

And you must write it now.

You did not know that?

Come and sit and talk with me a while.

You're right,

I said,

But don't you see?

I really don't know how.

A smile came upon her face as she leaned closer in.

My dear,

I cannot answer that.

It's you who must decide.

For you and only you can say how in the end you'll win.

Potential left untapped is what I simply can't abide.

I grew indignant.

Who was she to tell me what to do?

I did not know her,

Not at all,

Just met her in the park.

But something wasn't right,

And I knew change was overdue.

Perhaps it took an outsider to really hit the mark.

I thanked her and assured her that I'd somehow find a way.

Good,

Was all she said,

And then she stood and walked away.
