Please take a moment now to find your most comfortable meditative seat,
Taking a deep breath in through the nose and exhaling with a deep sigh.
Gently relax and let go of all tension,
Allowing all worries to melt away with the breath.
Now follow my guidance as we move through different parts of the body,
Releasing,
Holding and gripping,
Relaxing and easing as we move our awareness from the crown of the head down to the temples,
Forehead,
Eyebrows,
The space between the eyebrows,
Eyelids,
The eyes resting and releasing all tension within their sockets,
Cheeks,
Nose,
Tip of the nose,
Nostrils,
Lips,
Tongue,
The hinges of the jaw,
The ears and chin,
The neck and throat,
The chest and sternum,
The arms,
The hands and all ten fingers,
Softening and releasing,
Shoulder blades,
Spine and buttocks,
Softening and relaxing,
The upper and lower abdomen feeling relaxed and at ease,
The navel,
Pelvis,
The thighs while loosening,
Softening,
Releasing all tension,
Feeling the knees,
The lower legs and ankles,
Softening and relaxing,
The soles of the feet,
The balls of the feet and all ten toes,
Softening and at ease,
Noticing the entire body in awareness,
Feel the whole body contained in this vast,
Spacious awareness from the crown of the head to the tips of the toes,
Taking a deep cleansing breath in through the nose,
Completely filling up the lungs and exhaling slowly with a deep sigh,
Breathing normally now,
Letting go even more as you rest your awareness at the space between the eyebrows while maintaining your eyes closed,
Observing the vast stillness and silence here and as you rest in this vastness,
Allow whatever comes into your field of awareness to be present without comments or judgment,
Witness it all as it floats by like clouds in the sky,
And begin to imagine yourself walking along a forest path,
The brown leaves crumpling beneath your feet,
You can hear a distant stream gurgling as the snow melts and as you continue to walk,
You start to notice amber mushrooms and small sprouts emerging from the forest floor,
A gentle breeze caresses your face,
Spring rains begin to fall on the forest canopy and see yourself walking along this path until you find a cabin in the woods and as you seek shelter,
Look all around you,
Take in the smell of petrichor and allow yourself to relax and feel renewed as the forest comes back to vibrant life,
Listen to the fluttering songbirds and observe a herd of deer in the distance,
Allow yourself to soften and ease further and further as you let everything go,
Letting go of all doing and shifting to feeling and being,
And now gently deepen your breath and exhale slowly with a deep sigh,
Notice the touch of air on your skin and wiggle your fingers and toes and bring the hands together in prayer position as we bow down Namaste and when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes to conclude this practice.
