
Altered States Of Consciousness & Alpha Sound
This simple waking consciousness meditation takes you into the alpha state where the mind can expand without limits and you can learn and heal from the stresses of your life. You'll return from the alpha state feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. Based on Jose Silva's altered states of consciousness work, this meditation is highly effective at bringing your energy into alignment with the demands of your life. Guides, angels, and loved ones are also linked in bringing clarity, balance, and harmony.

This activity is based on Jose Silva's meditation methods which over time can be used to constructively develop and improve one's own mind and brain capacity.
Silva's technique is a self-help and meditation programme to increase mental functions,
Your clairvoyance,
Your alertness,
Even your memory by training you in waking consciousness and operating in altered states.
As I've said this is a waking consciousness meditation but it's also above all a healing meditation which brings a unique quality of rest and rejuvenation to your mind,
Your body and your spirit.
This is what the alpha state really feels like when you do it properly when you're working psychically or spiritually.
You're going to take yourself intentionally into an altered state for your own spiritual and personal development and during the quiet time later in the meditation you'll have an opportunity to invite a guide,
An angel or a loved one in to work with you.
But for now let's get started by finding a comfortable position where your back's fully supported and your feet are on the floor.
This is not a sleeping activity but you can at the end of the meditation gently go off to sleep once we've completed the meditation.
At every drop in your brainwave activity you'll be alert but in an altered state.
Your job is just to allow yourself to go down in the levels of brainwave activity,
In the different levels of awareness.
You're going to allow it,
Feel it,
Experience it,
Let it happen.
So we'll begin by closing our eyes and taking one or two long deep breaths and letting them go.
And although your eyes are closed let your gaze go towards the inner aspect of your eyelids so you're just slightly looking up even though your eyes are closed.
Now take a long slow deep breath in and as you exhale I want you to mentally see and say the number three three times.
So if you're ready,
Deep breath in,
Gentle slow exhale as you say three,
Three,
Three.
Now take another long slow breath in and as you exhale mentally say and see the number two three times.
Lastly take one more slow deep breath in and when you exhale mentally say and see the number one three times.
Are you aware that you're already at a lowered brainwave state?
You're entering an altered state and it's here where you'll be completely still but still aware of everything that's going on even as the deeper relaxation happens throughout your body.
To deepen this state of relaxation now we'll work together down your body.
So we'll begin with your head.
Check in and feel tension.
Be aware of stress or pain.
And intend to send relaxation to your scalp.
To your temples.
Allow your eyelids to relax.
Your jaw to unclench.
Your tongue to come to rest behind your top teeth.
Now take that sense of awareness of relaxation.
Bring it down into your neck.
Be aware of any tension and intend for healing and relaxation to replace any areas of pain,
Tension or stress.
And take it now into your shoulders,
Bring it across your shoulders front and back.
Relax your arms,
Your elbows,
Your wrists,
Your fingers.
Relax the whole of your rib cage and all the organs within it.
Just let the tension just ease away.
Relax your belly.
And all the abdominal contents there,
Let everything become soft and still.
Relax your back and release any tension or stress in the muscles along your spine.
Just starting at the very nape of your neck and going all the way down to the coccyx.
Let all stress,
Tension or pain be released and replaced with peace and stillness.
Relax your pelvis,
Your hips,
Your thighs.
And as you relax your knees,
Your legs might gently part.
And the relaxation should travel down into your shins,
Into the muscles of your calves.
And finally,
Relax your ankles,
Your feet,
Your toes.
And it is how everything has become soft and still.
And while you still have full control over yourself,
You are aware of all the relaxation going on,
The deeper levels of alertness that you are reaching in your altered states.
But we can take that a little bit further and induce a beneficially lowered altered state by counting backwards from 10 to 1.
So count with me,
Hearing the echo of the number in your mind.
10,
9,
8,
7,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Check in with yourself and see how relaxed you feel.
Check your jawline,
Your eyelids,
The palms of your hands.
Are your eyelids soft and at peace?
Is there a sense of stillness and calm?
If so,
Let that travel all the way down your body.
Down,
Down,
Down,
Until it reaches your feet and sinks into the floor.
This is an incredibly healthy state to be in.
And even if you were to just stay in this state for even just a few minutes,
Your body,
Your mind and spirit will be rejuvenated with a wonderful sense of calm,
Stillness and peacefulness.
But for now,
Our meditation is going to take us to using our mind as a development tool.
In a moment,
We'll count from 3 to 1 together.
And then I want you to allow your mind to transport you to a place where you have felt the most relaxed you've ever been.
It might be a beautiful holiday that you recall lying on a beach.
It might be an image or a picture that you've seen in a magazine.
Wherever the place is that comes to mind,
It's going to be a place of serenity and peace.
And I will leave you there for a while to access learning and development and understanding.
I don't want you to reach for this,
But this will happen and unfold organically,
Naturally for you.
So if you're ready,
Together we'll count backwards,
Starting with 3,
2,
1.
Project yourself into your place of calm,
Relaxation,
A place of tranquility and healing.
Let that all unfold for you right now.
And when you're comfortable,
Mentally invite a guide or an angel or even a loved one that's past a spirit to come and be with you and impart wisdom,
Knowledge,
Learning,
Direction,
And be open to whatever happens in the process.
You're in the most healing of states.
Just allow yourself to stay in this serene stillness and I will come back for you.

Now,
If you're ready,
It's time to start coming back from your meditation.
So thank your guide,
Your angel or your loved one for their presence and any knowledge or learning or guidance they've imparted.
And it's important that as you start to come back,
You retain the serene stillness that you manage to achieve.
We're going to count from one to five together,
Breathing deeply.
So take a deep breath,
Repeating the number one over and over.
Another deep breath and as you let it go,
Repeat the number two over and over.
Now feeling a little bit brighter and lighter.
Breathe deeply as you repeat the number three over and over.
Big deep breath.
Repeat the number four over and over.
And finally,
Feeling brighter and fresher and more alert,
But calm and peaceful,
Very tranquil.
Allow yourself to breathe deeply.
And as you exhale,
Repeat the number five over and over.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
And if you wish,
Now's the time to write down any wisdom that you channeled or any guidance that you were given.
You don't need to qualify it,
Judge it or think about it or curb the activity in any way.
If you were given work or guidance or instruction,
Write it down.
And I want you to stretch and have a drink.
And try as you go about your business,
Whether you go over to sleep now or you get up and go about your day,
Retain that serene stillness,
That real sense of balance and calm that you developed,
That you cultivated for yourself today.
