Hello,
My name is Gabriella and this is a short meditation to help activate the alpha brainwave frequency.
The alpha brainwave frequency is the brainwave frequency conducive of rest and relaxation.
Practices like meditation can help us drop into this frequency.
And this frequency of the brain is supportive of our creativity.
So when we work with this practice over a repeated amount of days,
This can help us really drop into this state much more quickly.
I encourage you to sit with an erect spine,
Perhaps on a cushion or a mat.
And you want to direct your eyesight with your eyes closed,
Kind of at a 45 degree angle.
So almost kind of gazing up through the top of your head and just keeping that gaze there.
With hands relaxed either side of the body,
We want to encourage our brain to slow down,
Remove all effort.
And we do this by honing in on what could either be a mantra or in this case numbers.
We're going to start at the count 100 and we're going to work our way down in sync with our breath all the way down to zero.
And you will find at the end of this count that you will be in a really juicy,
Energetic,
Pleasurable space,
Which is this alpha brainwave space.
It's a really nice feeling in the body.
There's a lot of calm within the body.
There isn't an influx of thoughts.
And that is the space that's really great to start your day or to end your day,
Depending on when you practice this.
So essentially,
You're going to hear me counting down from 100 to zero,
But with our eyes remaining at this fixed point at the top of our head,
About 45 degrees,
And breathing throughout to drop into this practice.

Setting the intention to awake completely energised and fresh and alert and more positive than when you started.
