This meditation is a longer version of our meditation method for accessing the alpha state of mind based on and from the Achieving Alpha method in the book The Silva Mind Control Method by Jose Silva. It includes instruction about and more time for a visualization exercise. For even greater impact, combined with this meditation is 11 Hz frequency binaural alpha wave music for relaxed focus. At the alpha level you can create what you can’t while in beta level.

You are listening to a meditation from Sound Science Soul.

This meditation is a method of accessing the Alpha state of mind based on and from the Achieving Alpha Method in the book The Silva Mind Control Method by Jose Silva.

In meditation the Alpha level of mind is reached.

It is in part where you start to clear your mind of conscious thought and it feels calm here and tension is relieved,

Anxiety,

Depression,

Health issues are even impacted by reaching the state.

Just by reaching the state.

Yet that is the passive version of using Alpha levels of mind.

Mind control goes beyond this as you use this level of mind to solve problems.

This as the Silva method puts it is dynamic meditation,

It's powerful.

You can do different things in Alpha or Theta than you can do in Beta.

This is the key concept in mind control.

Use your mind in a special way beyond how you are used to,

How you might have been taught and it opened you up to new possibilities and allows you to tap into a higher consciousness,

Higher and different intelligence.

Positive thinking is powerful and when you use other levels of mind you gain access to more creative abilities.

When you awaken in the morning you can go to the bathroom if necessary then return to bed.

Ideally you would remain in bed and do this exercise first as you are most likely in Alpha.

You may want to set your alarm for 15 minutes or more in case you fall back asleep.

Let's begin.

First let's get you settled in your body and your nervous system in a calm state.

You're going to take a total of three breaths to calm and center you.

Sit comfortably and close your eyes.

For these breaths you will take deep slow breaths through the nose until your abdomen expands like a balloon and then you will release the breath through the mouth slowly.

You want to completely expel the breath and relax your body,

Deepening the relaxation with each breath.

Breathe in deeply through the nose,

Filling your abdomen,

Pause and hold the breath and then expel the breath completely.

Breathe out longer than the inhale or the hold as this activates your parasympathetic nervous system,

Bringing you into a calmer state.

Allow your body to relax and any tension in your shoulders to subside.

Breathe in deeply again,

Pause and hold and then release the breath fully but slowly as though you are very slowly deflating a balloon.

Then breathe out longer than the inhale or the hold.

Feel any pressure in your chest release.

Breathe in a final last time,

Pause and hold and blow a steady stream of air from your mouth as you release the breath.

This time blow out the air as long as possible,

Feeling all tension completely release from the body.

Keep releasing the breath until your lungs are completely empty and you feel much less tension throughout your body.

Keeping your eyes closed,

Look upward behind your eyelids at a 20 degree angle.

This eye position alone can bring you into alpha.

Now slowly at about 2 seconds each count backwards from 100 to 1.

Keep your mind focused on counting.

We'll pause here so you can count.

Now slowly at about 2 seconds each count backwards from 100 to 1.

In order to come out of the alpha state you repeat to yourself the following.

I will slowly become more awake as I count from 1 to 5.

When I get to 5 I will open my eyes be wide awake feeling healthy feeling better than before.

1 2 3 awakening fully feeling better 4 5 Open your eyes you are wide awake feeling better than before.

Now that you are fully awake know that you will need to first bring yourself into alpha when you do this exercise.

Then deepen that state by counting and then you will need to bring yourself out of the state.

For the first 10 mornings count from 100 to 1 then for 10 mornings count from 50 to 1 then for 10 mornings count from 25 to 1 then for 10 mornings count from 10 to 1 and then start counting from 5 to 1.

By that time you are able to more easily and quickly access the alpha level of mind so it requires less of a countdown.

Now that you are fully awake you will need to bring yourself out of the state.

This was the first time, in my process of returning to my intention of the initial Silva Alpha count back, that I tried this meditation (with background music and beginning to utilize the screen technique), as opposed to the other ones I have been utilizing. I have to say, without question, this one was so much more effective in achieving a noticeabley deeper and readily accessible state. I thank you for your suggestions in response to the comments on your other Silva/Alpha meditation, to try one with music/tones! I tended to lose a bit of focus as my monkey mind got pretty active, focusing on the screen. I am going to look through your other Alpha meditations and see if there is one that is also accompanied by music/fequency/tone, that maybe is a bit shorter, and has less time on the visualizations. At least to start with, for the first 20 days, I think it will more likely help me to be successful in sticking with my intention, until I am further along. As I really have appreciated your meditations, if there is not an alternative, would it be useful to still utilize this meditation, if I stop it a couple of min into the screen visualization, and utilize the statements of wakefulness? Thank you again!

This was a great way to start the day. I often prefer quiet, or some ambient sound for meditating. The binaural beats and soothing voice for directions wa very calming. An even better for me is the recording volume of voice. Even with my volume turned up it is sometimes difficult to hear was is being spoken over other noises, such as loud furnace/air conditioner in the background. Thanks again for a beautiful meditation.
