Find a comfortable position in a space that feels safe to you.

This can be seated against a wall,

Seated cross-legged,

Or lying on your back.

Take a moment to get comfortable here.

Observe your body.

Where do you need to adjust?

And do that now.

Close your eyes and allow yourself to follow your breath in and out.

Observing the flow of air,

The gentle movements of your chest.

Slow down your breath.

Inhaling for two counts in.

Holding your breath and then exhaling for four counts out.

Letting all of that air leave your body.

And continue breathing in this rhythm for a few more breathing cycles.

Bring your attention to the space surrounding you.

Noticing the temperature,

Any sounds,

Any sense lingering in the air.

And gently returning to your body,

Scan your body beginning at the crown of your head.

Observing where do you hold tension.

Continue slowly along your spine,

All the way down to your lower abdomen,

Your thighs,

Reaching your feet.

Just observing any sensations,

Any tension that you're holding onto.

Breathing into these spaces deeply.

And seeing any tension,

Any energy you're holding onto.

Leave your body with each exhalation,

Making space.

Now walk down a path to your favorite place in the world where you feel safe,

Comforted,

Free.

Take it all in.

And with your gaze fixed on the horizon,

Bring forward something that triggered you today.

Maybe a situation,

A person,

Or an incident that felt difficult.

Noticing exactly what thoughts are on your mind and how you feel in your heart.

What emotions does this stir up within you?

Where in your body does this emotion live?

Just notice it.

And when was the first time you felt this way?

Bring forward what you needed back then and who you needed that from.

Seeing that younger version of yourself,

How can you step in and give that to yourself?

Stepping into that space of your memory and give yourself all that you need right now.

Maybe you're stepping in to protect your little self.

Or maybe this younger version of yourself is standing up,

Speaking up,

And changes the situation.

How this event took place,

The outcome,

Until you feel empowered,

Supported,

And safe.

Now,

Climb up a hill and sitting on a rock overlooking the sea,

The sky,

Clouds passing by,

Seeing the world from a bird's perspective.

Ask yourself,

What do you need today to release the weight of this old wound?

How can you take aligned action to give yourself all that you need today?

Feeling deeply into the energy of strength,

Grace,

And light that floods your body as you allow yourself to go through every detail.

Take your time.

Envision what that is.

See yourself carrying out these activities.

And whenever you're ready,

Come up to journal about what you saw.
