Duality gets a bad rap, so in this life, I'm going to show you how duality can actually be your friend in spiritual truth and your faith builder. This is all about understanding the abundance in lack and how to open to it, see it, and use it to create great abundance in your life.

Hello,

Hello,

Hello.

Welcome to today's little soul shots for you.

I am Shirley Harvey.

I am the host.

So,

Just dropping in and just coming into center and just dropping into this moment,

The stillness,

The ever-present stillness that resides in you.

That's always yours to come back to for whenever you need.

The stillness that is your home.

And that's not our physical home,

That's our spiritual home.

The place where our soul feels at home.

That stillness is ever-present.

Omnipresent.

All that there is.

And it resides in you like a core.

Like a seed at your core.

And in that stillness,

Please complete trust.

And just trusting that you will get what you need from today,

From this talk.

Trusting that you receive exactly what you need to receive.

Trusting that you know your truth,

You know what resonates with you.

And that that's the nugget that you take and the rest can be dropped.

And in the world of all that is,

Omnipresent,

Omnipotence,

Omniscience,

We also have duality.

And while there are many spiritual practices that focus on non-duality,

What I want to do is talk about how we can use duality as a friend,

How we can use duality to emerge more of ourselves and bring forth more of ourselves.

And so what I want to talk about is where we have a perceived duality or where we have something that we do not want,

Where we have a conflict with it in our lives.

There is a calling forth of more of ourselves within and our challenge is embracing that in a way that allows us to really bring more of ourselves forward.

We are always seeking this,

The fullest expression of our soul.

We are all unique expressions of the one.

And I remember being described this like,

Imagine like a tablecloth and you can pull up a point over here on the tablecloth and pull up a point over here and a point here and a point here.

And like that is kind of what.

.

.

Those are like people,

That's us,

That's our unique expression of the same fabric,

Of the same one.

And so when we come from like this angle,

We have a unique perspective and that creates a duality,

That creates a perceived perception of duality because over here,

I am and over here,

You are,

But you are also I am.

And we get to basically have these experiences of duality so that we can learn more about our unique expression and what wants to come forth because we are always wanting to bring forth more of the all that is,

More of the fabric of who we are,

Which is all of creation.

So when we have a perceived lack,

We think that there is no money there or there is no love there.

What we actually have is this opening for the absolute opposite,

This opening for the opposite,

This opening for more of that substance,

More of that essence to emerge through us.

And when we have this perceived lack,

We are invited back home to the omnipresence,

To the omnipotence,

To the omniscience,

To the all that is and to the holy union,

Which is I am.

I am one with all that is.

And to be invited into that space where we can see that whatever we believed was a lack,

Whatever we believed was something different to what we wanted is exactly actually what we want and exactly the catalyst that brings us back to that state of all that is.

I was reading somewhere and they were talking about space and they were basically saying it is the most dense in vibrational frequency of all that is.

Like,

If you take a physical object or a person and we think that the material world is a super dense place,

But in actual reality,

The vibrational frequency of space,

Of nothingness is so much more dense than we could ever even imagine because it is full of infinite possibility.

It is the vibrational frequency of everything and all that is.

And so we get in our duality,

In our observance of things that we don't like,

We get to play with this,

We get to be reminded of this,

We get to be brought back home to this.

And so you can use things like this as a tool.

And also there is also the idea of duality as,

You know,

Where we have a conflict with something,

Where we actually think that something is not good or we don't like it.

What we're actually doing,

As Abraham Hicks would say,

Is we're producing rockets of desire.

We are fine-tuning our own preferences and our own desires for our own creation of what wants to come through us.

And then what we need to do is take that focus from the opposite and ask,

Like,

Well,

What is this that wants to come through?

What is this that is wanting to be birthed?

What is this that is in abundance in this perceived life?

And it's a really powerful tool to play with.

And again,

Always play,

Right?

These are practices,

These are play tools,

These are things that we can use to always come back and remind ourselves of who we are,

Which in truth is we are all one.

We are all of everything.

And the other thing you can do with this,

And another little tool that you can play with,

Is again,

If you have a perceived lack,

So money is the obvious one,

Especially at the moment with the lovely economy the way it is,

There is this perceived lack of money.

And what happens with that is we get to fill in that space.

Like,

In.

.

.

If I have a perceived lack out there,

Then there is a perceived lack inside me.

And that perceived lack is a not knowing my true essence,

Not knowing my God self.

And I'll use the term God,

But fill it in with life,

With source,

With energy,

Whichever resonates.

I've kind of done my work to remove religion from the word God,

And yet it is still a process.

So,

You know,

Again,

Always have compassion for yourself in these investigations,

In these workings and tools and spiritual play.

Have compassion and love yourself with these.

So use those words that feel right for you.

Omnipresence is a beautiful one.

God,

If you can,

Source energy.

And like,

When we have a perceived lack,

We have forgotten that connection to all that is,

To the fact that we are all one.

And if God is the fabric of everything,

Of all of creation,

Then that means you too,

I am the fabric of the same substance.

I am the fabric of all of creation.

So,

God is infinite wealth and abundance,

Then so must I be infinite wealth and abundance.

So must you be infinite wealth and abundance.

Infinite health and well-being.

And that all is good,

All is God,

All is good.

And when you really drop into these and really start to apply them to the things in your life that you have issues with,

To those areas where you're like,

Me no likey.

And trust me,

I have some really good ones in my life right now.

But really dropping out of that reactionary state and,

You know,

Trust me,

That reactionary state is delicious.

I mean,

I literally could observe myself this week with the adrenaline rush coming through me of the fight I wanted to have with someone.

And realizing like this physical response was,

You know,

Definitely a physical response to those receptors that have like created to latch onto the adrenaline and cortisone in my body.

Like there was this very visceral,

Addictive feeling that was coming from a very physical place and allowing that to be what it was,

But also like allowing this sense of what else is here?

What else is wanting to emerge through this?

Because in my head I kind of know I don't want that fight.

But there's a very human reaction to kind of wanting that,

To kind of wanting to be able to say your peace,

Right?

But actually what you want is you want peace,

You want harmony.

So we get to play with this duality,

We get to play with this duality,

We get to invite this in and kind of basically say,

Well,

What wants to come through here?

And there is so much opportunity,

Like in my own situation with this family member,

There is so much opportunity for love,

For compassion,

For forgiveness,

For firm boundaries,

And for how I want to show up as a being,

Not just for others,

But for myself,

Right?

How do I want to show up for myself in terms of giving myself that unconditional love and that protective space that I might need around myself at times?

And acknowledging that.

And so we get given these beautiful pockets of duality where we get to play in them,

We get to see what is the preference.

And so when we have something that we butt up against and not really like,

You know,

Me no likey,

Well,

What is that?

And like,

There's a unity there,

Right?

Like my fists are together,

Like I have come together against this brick wall or this perceived obstacle.

I have unity.

And so there is that opportunity for unity,

There is that opportunity for merging with that.

Like,

What is it about this person that miles me?

Oh,

Many things that I haven't accepted in myself.

You know,

We get to do that.

And we also get to understand that there's parts of us that want to fight for truth,

There's parts of us that want to fight for honesty,

There's parts of us that want to fight for peace,

And there's parts of us that want to fight for peace,

And harmony and love.

And allowing that space,

Allowing that conflict,

Allowing that duality to be the place that literally bursts them.

Like most seeds kind of need conflict to burst forth,

Right?

They have all of this potential in them.

The acorn has the potential for the oak tree inside it.

I'm going to go back,

I was in California a few years ago,

Absolutely fell in love with the sequoia trees,

And I was listening to how the seed in the sequoia needs the forest fire before it will germinate.

We need these conflicts,

We need these seeming things that we butt up against,

Because that's when we can merge,

That's when we can create union.

That is holy union.

And that remembrance is the whole one,

We are all of the infinite,

We are all of everything.

So how can there be lack?

If God is everything,

That means like every dollar,

Pound,

Yen,

Every currency in the world is God.

Like there's an abundance,

There's no lack.

There's infinite wealth,

There is infinite abundance,

And it's all there,

And we are all part of it,

We are like just little peaks on the table and we get to merge back into that fabric and realize that we are all one.

And the more you practice this,

And it is a tool,

It is something to play with,

It is like planting a seed and letting it germinate.

You know,

Don't keep digging it up,

Just let it germinate,

Water it every now and then,

Come back to it,

Come back to the meditation of it.

When we see something we don't like,

It's still an other self,

It's still a part of us,

And we get to merge with that.

And there are times when we are beautifully human and we are not going to be able to,

And we want to go up to it and go.

.

.

I would swear if I was not on this platform.

We get.

.

.

We are allowed to do that too,

Right?

That is also an expression of God,

And it may not be the most helpful,

The most loving,

The most kind,

But we have to acknowledge that within us.

You know,

And a dear friend of mine yesterday actually just reminded me of Katie Byron's work because I was telling him about some stuff and he was like,

You know,

Why don't you just go and get this out of your system,

You know,

With the work,

Katie Byron's work.

And he was saying,

You know,

It gives you the permission to be as petty as possible.

In a safe space,

In a place where you are sacred,

It is secret,

It is yours,

And you get to be petty and you get to relish in that.

You know,

Sometimes I like to just go up into my bedroom and throw the mother of all baby tantrums.

It's pure joy.

Like when I let that rip,

When I allow that to flow through me,

And I don't aim it at others,

I take responsibility for it being my own reaction.

It can be a pure joy.

These dualities show up in all of our areas of life and we get to play with them,

We get to invite more in from them.

Remembrance and union with all that is.

We want that connection.

And the beauty of and the irony of all of this is that there's no disconnection ever.

We realize,

We come back to the realization.

And so all of these tools help us to do that and they help us to fine-tune who we want to be in the world,

Because that's always what we're wanting.

We are a life force and it is all connected.

And there's no sort of death or destruction or bad stuff in that because it all feeds.

When you look at how in nature,

Like death and decay literally feeds and nourishes the new life coming through,

There is nothing but new life in death and decay.

And we get to play with that.

We get to invite that in.

You know,

I lost my mum a year or so ago,

Nearly two years now.

And that grief still like comes and hits me out of the blue,

Right?

Like a wave.

And yet,

Every time it's like,

Well,

What new is here?

What else is there here for me?

Where is the new life wanting to come through?

And so much new life has come through that experience.

And it's like this constant ability to fill in this gap that we think there is this perceived gap.

And as humans,

Like,

We literally sign up for that.

We literally sign up to see the gap and come back to it,

Like,

And fill it back in and to come back to that remembrance,

To feel the disconnection and to reconnect.

And we're never.

.

.

We're never actually disconnected.

It's just that we kind of get amnesia and then we remember.

We get amnesia and we remember.

And this is.

.

.

This is kind of what we signed up for,

Right?

This is what makes our soul alive.

So even when you have stuff that's really difficult and that you're butting up against,

And it can feel horrible,

You know?

I have been there.

I have been through some of the.

.

.

Some terrible,

Terrible things.

And.

.

.

And yet there is always something that's positive that comes from it.

There is always something that wants to be born.

There is always a moment of understanding where you get to remember and you get to come back,

And your soul is always rejoicing.

Your soul literally rejoices in these moments because this is when it grows.

You know,

My mentor used an analogy of like,

Weightlifting,

And like there's no growth in the ones that you can do,

But there's growth in the ones that you can't do.

I mean,

I don't lift weights,

That's not.

.

.

It's not something.

.

.

But for me,

At the end of a run,

When I'm spent and when I feel there's nothing left in me,

I'll often sprint the last few minutes,

Like,

Few minutes.

Who am I kidding?

A few yards,

A few meters.

And I'll often sprint that through my door just to prove that I'm not spent.

.

.

That there is more.

That there is more wanting to come through,

And that's.

.

.

That's where we get with our soul.

We have these moments of crises and our soul rejoices.

It's only our human self that doesn't.

And so we get to play with duality,

We get to play with this.

We get to enjoy how it makes us show up,

Who we want to become.

So,

Thank you for listening.

If you want to leave a donation,

Thank you very much.

All are welcome and it helps me keep showing up here and doing this,

Which is just a joy.

If you want to come to my profile and follow me,

There's meditations,

There's morning and evening ones that you can do,

And there's also some just really simple.

.

.

I'm all for simplicity and ease.

Some really simple,

Like,

Five-minute meditations where you can just drop into stillness,

Drop into remembering you are God.

Because,

As I say,

We are beautiful,

Enlightened,

Spiritual,

All that is infinite,

Everything.

And we're also really human and really messy and really icky and really sort of twisted and messed out.

It is a kind of wake-up call.

It is that moment of impact where we get to react and then we also get to step back and watch that reaction.

We also get to be aware of that and then invite into that space whatever it is that wants to come through.

And maybe it's lying on the floor and crying like a baby and holding yourself in that,

Because maybe at some point in your life,

Like,

Every single person on the planet,

You didn't get that.

So you get to bring that love,

You get to bring that compassion to yourself,

You get to bring that to other people too.

You get to fill these gaps,

These spaces with what wants to emerge.

You get to fill it with a more full,

More expressed version of yourself and,

Like,

What is more fulfilling for the soul than that?

What is more fulfilling than.

.

.

For the one?

Like,

The one just wants you to live this glorious life.

And I think,

You know,

One of the problems with law of attraction and manifestation is that it's very much on the physical world.

It's very much you want to express through this physical world.

You want to express through having the riches,

Through having the clothes,

Through having the car,

Through having the house,

For having the holidays,

The experiences.

But your soul doesn't distinguish that from bringing more love,

For bringing more compassion.

Your soul wants the whole expression because your soul is constantly wanting to remember it's part of the fabric of all that is,

And it wants to bring more of that through.

And so,

When someone else has that quality,

Someone else can do that or has achieved that,

You're not separate from that.

Like,

The same tablecloth,

You're like,

You're just a different point.

And so,

You have access to bring that forward,

To invite that into your experience.

We're not here to use any of these tools to be mean to ourselves.

We are not here for self-flagellation.

We are not here for judging ourselves for not getting this,

Or for being on our own journey,

Or for not having spiritual thoughts.

Like,

No,

Stuff that.

Like,

We're not here for that.

We are human and we are messy,

And we are here to love the rawness of that,

To love all of that.

And so,

When you do any of these practices,

When you do any of this spiritual work or self-improvement work,

Like,

We are not here to be mean to ourselves.

We are not here to use these tools violently against ourselves or against anyone else.

Like,

I won't tolerate it,

I will like,

Literally put you in the love corner.

And I expect you to do the same.

You have to police yourself.

If you had a child who was being bullied,

You wouldn't tolerate that.

So don't be that to yourself,

Right?

Don't.

.

.

So this.

.

.

This is my disclaimer for everything.

You use these tools as gifts,

As things to play with.

Like,

You go into them with playful curiosity.

What can I find today?

Is there something here for me?

Maybe it's not.

Maybe today I am in a foul,

Stinky mood.

Well,

Then I'm going to just enjoy being in a foul,

Stinky mood,

And I am going to like,

Milk my foul,

Stinky mood for everything that's there,

Right?

I mean,

You do that,

Like,

Part of your soul is like,

This is the best thing ever.

Because we shame ourselves,

We shame who we are,

We shame.

.

.

And especially in the spiritual world,

I see it all the time,

Like,

Shaming us for.

.

.

We shame ourselves for not being spiritual enough.

We are just human.

We are spiritual.

We are inseparable from both.

Like,

Be kind to ourselves.

I love you so much.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you.

Have a beautiful week,

And remember,

Be kind to yourself.

Use these as tools and play with them.

Be easy with it.

Be carefree with it.

Enjoy.

The world needs all of us to be all of ourselves,

And that's the best medicine you can give the world.

You're allowed to not be able to get this.

You're allowed to butt up against the same things over and over again.

Like,

We circle back.

We're always circling higher and higher,

But we'll come back to the same things that trigger us,

Because we get to have a new understanding of it.

We get to have a new ability to bring more love there,

To bring more compassion to ourselves and to others there.

It's just a game.

It's a game.

It's a game.

It's a game.

It's just a game.

It's a game to treat it like that.

The world's not out to get you.

It's literally wanting to play with you.

It's like a kitten.

It's like.

.

.

And sometimes it whacks you round the head with a claw,

As my cat sometimes does,

Or like,

Just gently claws my face when I'm asleep.

I think you should wake up now,

Mummy.

Like,

That's life,

Right?

So,

Do we get to like,

Hate it and think it's out to get us,

Or do we just get to like,

You know.

.

.

Sometimes we get to roll over and pull the duvet up and hide underneath it.

And that's an absolute valid response.

And then we also get to play with it.

It's your playground.

So thank you for being here.

Right,

I love you.

Take care.

Bye.
