Start by taking a deep breath in,
Exhaling and letting go.
Begin to breathe the pattern of breath that feels good to you.
And as you bring your attention and awareness to your breath,
Allow all of your thoughts to drift up to the sky.
With every exhale,
Sending your thoughts all the way up into the atmosphere.
And this meditation is a prayer for surrender.
And in this moment,
You might be clinging tightly to a person,
An idea,
A desire,
A fear.
And it can be so hard to let something go,
To trust the divine and let go of control.
Now transport yourself to a sacred landscape that you love.
Imagine yourself lying down,
Waking up to a beautiful sky.
Whether that be the glowing moon or the bright sun that meets you.
As you sit up and begin to look around,
A beautiful sacred landscape appears.
Feel the air on your skin,
The warmth of your body,
Or maybe a cold chill.
Whether it be mountains,
Forest,
Snow or heat,
Where is spirit taking you to surrender?
As you look around this sacred space,
You notice this beautiful throne.
It is a humbling throne,
Small,
Intentional,
Made of earth or stone,
Water or even fire.
It is one with the elements,
It is one with the sacred place that you are in.
Standing about six feet in front of this throne,
Close your eyes and ask great spirit,
Your higher power,
The divine,
The energy of the universe,
However you see it,
To meet you here.
And maybe you begin to feel the energy of that great power,
That great spirit.
Before you see them take their throne.
And they greet you with love and gratitude for the connection that you called for.
Maybe you see features and faces,
Clothing,
Maybe you see energy and light.
What do you feel in the presence of the divine one that you trust?
To surrender to spirit is really a surrender of the ego.
The voice in your mind that makes everything important,
Whose sole job it is to attach.
To attach to you are what you do what you want.
It is personal importance.
Is that belief that you have the power to change and control things that are not always in your control.
So what is it in this moment?
It has you wound tight.
It has you clinging hard.
What have you been unwilling to surrender?
And what would it feel like now?
To give that over.
To walk up to your higher spirit.
And to say,
I surrender.
And I trust that this will be transformed,
However it is meant to.
Maybe this thing is a relationship,
A person,
Money.
You can imagine it coming into the field.
You can imagine it filling up your hands as an image or an energy.
Asking,
Am I willing to just have the intent to say out loud,
Spirit,
I surrender this to you.
And when you're ready,
Place what you're surrendering at the throne.
And I want you to imagine your great spirit saying,
Everything is going to be OK.
If you could truly believe they could let this go and everything would work out exactly as it's supposed to.
What would you feel in your body?
Thinking about all that energy you've been using to obsess,
To think,
To fix,
To change,
To manipulate,
To cling.
If you felt so much safety and trust,
What would it feel like in your body?
How much more energy would you have?
How much more attention would you have to put on something else?
Really bathe in that extra energy,
In that extra attention.
And where would you like to direct it?
Give it back to yourself in a really special way.
Your great spirit tells you,
I will watch this for you.
I have been watching it and I am not afraid.
I know you will have all the desires of your heart.
I know that things will work out exactly as intended.
If you continue to trust,
To do your best,
To love yourself,
And to remember you are more than a human.
You are a divine being.
And you know at any time you can return back to this place to surrender and let go.
To take back your energy.
To place it somewhere different.
And surrendering is a practice.
Some things take longer than others.
Some things we surrender every day.
There are some things we feel like we are surrendering minute by minute.
Just remember the power of intention.
Just the desire to want to let it go is so powerful and sometimes enough.
So lay here in sweet surrender.
Opening your eyes when you are ready.
Thank you.
