If you heard my last meditation,
You may know that I'm somewhere quite special.
With everything that goes on in life,
I sometimes forget to take a break.
I still consider myself very lucky that this is the first holiday I've had in 10 years.
And I wanted you to be a part of it.
So just quickly,
I'd like to paint a picture for you.
If you're feeling stressed,
You need a little time out.
I'd like to help you visualize what I'm lucky enough to be seeing right now.
So if you're ready,
Find a comfortable seat.
Lay down,
Curl up,
Whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Make sure your body can fully relax.
Maybe unclench your jaw.
Soften the muscles around the face,
Around the eyes.
And if they're not already,
Close down the eyes.
I want you to visualize with me.
You're on a beach.
You're looking at the sun setting behind pink clouds.
The air is warm.
There's a slight breeze.
And as you look down,
Your feet are sinking into the sand.
The sand is white and soft.
You start walking along the beach.
The waves are gently lapping over your feet.
The water is perfectly warm.
As you wriggle your toes,
Your feet sink a little deeper into the sand.
Water is lapping around the ankles and you look out to the vastness of the sea.
The ocean,
Clear.
But as it travels away from you in the distance,
It gets darker.
The clouds are pastel.
The sky is still blue.
As you visualize,
This version of peace.
I want you to take a big inhale through the nose.
What does this version of peace smell like to you?
Perhaps you can smell the salt water.
Perhaps you smell some night blooming jasmine.
Maybe you want to stay here a bit longer.
I think I do too.
Whatever you decide to do with the rest of your day,
Just remember,
Though you may not do whatever you decide to do today,
Just remember,
Though you're not here with me now physically,
Paradise is wherever you make it.
Peace is wherever you make it.
