Welcome,
We offer these meditations freely and your donations make a real difference so thank you.
Let's give ourselves a moment to settle.
Coming into a comfortable position,
Something where you can sit with your spine tall.
And now we have a new theme,
Our theme is allow and it used to be,
The plan was for it to be allow pleasure but I'm learning that coming in and just sort of trying to focus on the positive all the time is it's just like a 50% job.
Actually when we allow there's as much goodness and as much juiciness to allow reality,
The good and the bad,
Truth.
So I suppose allow truth is probably a more accurate description of my intention for our motherhead.
So we're going to do a practice that draws our breath into our heart space allowing our awareness and the subtle energy of our heart to expand and open and we're going to allow whatever arises to arise.
There's really no agenda other than being truthful.
So for this half an hour,
If only for this half an hour,
There's no getting it wrong.
We're just curious explorers of what is.
So you want to be sitting comfortably enough to allow that to take place.
You start to get pins and needles or a dead leg then just change position.
You might find it a comfort to rest your tongue up on the roof of your mouth.
For me that brings spaciousness around the jaw,
The lips and the teeth.
And you might bring your awareness to the nostrils so that you feel the sensation of your in-breath and feel the sensation of your out-breath.
Gently breathing through your nose unless your nose is blocked off obviously.
If your nose is blocked then just have your teeth and your lips slightly apart.
Allowing the breath to start to deepen and lengthen in its own way.
No forcing on our part.
And tuning into our sense of hearing,
Perhaps you can notice the sound of your breath.
Perhaps you can notice sounds coming from further afield.
Expand your sense of hearing to notice.
Now allowing what is,
Not getting tangled up in that's a good sound or that's a bad sound.
Then bringing your hearing back to the sound of your own breath,
The intimacy of the sounds of your own body,
Maybe a heartbeat,
Maybe the quiet pulse of the fluid systems in your body,
Maybe even the pulse of your spine.
You And bringing awareness down into the pelvis,
Feeling the relationship between your pelvis and the earth beneath.
I might feel a sense of the soil,
The vast network of mycelium,
This intelligence that runs for miles beneath us.
And beneath that rock,
Layer upon layer of rock.
And as we move towards the centre of the earth,
Heat,
Fire.
So perhaps a sense of your spine rising up from the pelvis,
A column of prana rising from the pelvis,
Coming up to meet the base of the skull.
Awareness at the occiput ridge,
The back of your head.
And an ever increasing sense of expansion and openness through the skull.
Noticing how it feels to be present in your body and how that feeling state moves in relationship to the inhalation and the exhalation,
Just like a tidal current moving through you.
And quite deliberately,
We're going to draw our next inhale down into our heart space.
It's almost as if the breath is a ribbon and we're just letting it flutter its way down into the very centre of your heart.
Breathing from your heart space out in all directions as you exhale.
So you might notice how available it is to you to deliberately bring your breath into your heart and consciously choose to expand the breath from your heart outwards.
Sometimes there's more rabbit holes than other times.
We find ourselves dropping down and out into some storyline.
If that should happen,
That's part of the practice.
We smile,
Acknowledge and gently come back to breathing into the very heart of your hearts.
Breathing out from your heart in all directions.
So we're not pushing anything away,
Even the distractions.
We're allowing and then returning.
So so so and as the breath deepens,
Maybe we can allow the exhale to expand way beyond the realms of our physical body.
Maybe we can send out our heart breath to fill this space in which you're sitting.
Maybe you can feel the walls and the furniture around you.
So so maybe the exhale can expand further still,
Reaching out to the outside space,
Maybe the neighbors,
Maybe the whole street.
So everything you need brought to you on the in-breath.
Everything you have to share given away on the out-breath.
Maybe this exhale can take you further still,
So we're reaching the edges of the territory that we live on,
Where the land meets the water.
And out across the water.
Across all territories.
Wrapping itself around the entire planet.
Allowing whatever experience comes to you with a smile,
Remaining curious,
Receiving all the love that is needed with your inhale and sharing all the love.
From your heart as you exhale perhaps reaching up into the sky,
Encompassing the stars,
The planets,
The places we don't yet know about.
So meeting any distractions with a smile,
Coming back to your heart.
Allowing the experience,
However that may be,
Fully human,
Fully divine,
With a smile.
So so allowing the out-breath to touch every blade of grass,
Every leaf,
Petal and stem.
Every human heart,
Every creature,
Above land and within the soil.
Breathing into the heart space,
Breathing out from the heart in all directions.
So so so and bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
The softness of a smile may not even be visible from the outside but it is felt and sensed from the inside.
Maybe dropping ear to shoulder,
Taking chin to chest,
Ear across to shoulder and coming up and over as we circle our head to feel and sense our neck.
Continuous defcodality,
Is a combination of being Circling shoulders.
Perhaps the elbows.
Perhaps the arms.
And then letting the circles come down into your heart space.
As you circle the circumference of your hips.
Switching directions.
And coming back to centre.
Laying hands atop of heart,
Dropping chin to chest.
We offer the fruit of our practice to all beings.
So that our individual wellbeing is collective wellbeing.
Stay Inithhhhhh
