Welcome to this short practice.
Where you are going to use your hands.
Your energy,
Your intention and your breath.
To send love and kindness and compassion to your body to your system to yourself This is especially helpful when you are feeling lonely or you are very harsh on yourself,
Insecure,
Overwhelmed.
It's maybe a challenging day.
And there's no one in your closeness or there is no one with you that can help you co-regulate.
Sometimes the best thing you can get when you are in a state like this is a hug.
Now.
Maybe you don't have someone that's there to hug you today so let's use this practice as a metaphor for you to hugging yourself and giving you some love and kindness I'm not going to teach any theory I want to do this for you very practically.
Something that you can redo over and over again if you feel this is helpful.
It's a blend of techniques and knowledge and wisdom that I've gathered over the last 30 years in working on myself,
But also working with clients.
And I hope this is helpful for you.
Let's start with taking a nice deep breath inhale deeply through your nose And exhale.
And you might even let out a sigh,
A sound or nothing at all.
Follow your own intuition.
Take a deep breath in again through your nose.
Hold for a moment and exhale.
Calm.
One more time inhale deeply through your nose Hold for a moment.
Exhale.
So many ways to do the exhale.
Just with your breath,
With the humming,
With the sound.
Find your own best version that feels best to you and let's do this one more time together inhale deeply through your nose Hold and relax.
Feel your feet on the ground.
Feel your feet on the ground.
Just connect with the earth.
Or the chair that you sit on.
And without any forcing or doing too much.
Sit straight comfortable but straight so that the energy can flow vertically when the energy flows vertically things become more Light.
More balance.
Now let's use our hands.
Rub your hands.
And as you're rubbing your hands,
Imagine that you're charging it with your own energy.
You can also set the intention to be loving and kind to yourself and to set the intention that the love from your heart that is there streams through your hands,
Through your arms,
Streams through your arms into your hands.
So rub.
Take a deep breath and hold your hands for a moment,
Just a little separate.
And tune into the energy between your hands.
The space.
The flow between your hands maybe you feel something very obviously maybe you don't feel anything at all that's okay either way it will work Rub your hands again.
Keep your hands separate for a little bit here.
The first thing we're going to do we're going to put the left hand on your forehead Take a deep breath and just notice how it feels when you put your one hand on your forehead.
Take a breath.
And the other hand you put on the back of your neck.
Just relax into it take a deep breath close your eyes if you feel comfortable doing so and simply feel the touch.
Hold the touch.
And imagine that.
.
.
Love.
Streams from your heart into your hands.
Take another deep breath.
And with your next inhale.
You release the hands gently.
Come back to center.
Rub your hands again.
Take a moment to gather the energy.
Feel your hands that are charging.
And now you put your left hand on your chest,
On your heart,
Heart chakra.
And your right hand you put on your belly.
And relax.
Feel the touch,
The gentleness.
This is your holding yourself.
Relax into it Your belly is a vulnerable space.
Also the space where the second chakra is the sacral.
Also related to your inner child in many ways.
So just imagine.
That you're holding your inner child for a moment or any other parts in you right now that feel.
Insecure or lonely or angry or grieving Anything that needs love and attention in you,
Any part of you,
Just imagine that and send love through your hands.
Thank you.
Take another nice deep breath in and with your exhale you release the hands gently.
Back to center and simply let it resonate for a moment how that felt.
Rub your hands again.
Hold.
Notice the energy.
Now you put your hands.
Your ears.
And take a deep breath in.
Relax into your breathing and your own pace sending love and healing energy into your ears.
Maybe even a moment of gratitude for your ears and your hearing.
As a reminder that you also hear what you say to yourself internally.
Thank you,
Ears.
Take a deep breath in.
Release the hands.
Come back to center.
Rub your hands again.
Now tune into your body and tune into which body part or area would love to be touched needs to be touched If nothing comes very directly,
Then simply guess.
Maybe it's your shoulders that are challenged,
Maybe it's.
.
.
Your eyes or your thighs.
Maybe it's an organ,
Your kidneys or.
.
.
Liver whatever area it is even if it's the feet and you can move your hands so use this moment and put your hands where it wants to be felt in your body so go ahead and do this now i will put my hands one hand on my thigh and one hand above my pubic bone tuning into my uterus Keep breathing,
Keep sending,
Loving,
Kindness.
Maybe there's also a color.
Or an image.
Whatever works for you.
Maybe it's a sound.
A smell.
A word.
Trust your intuition.
Take another deep breath in.
Release your hands and just relax them on your lap or wherever you want to have them on your thighs or and just notice your body Now take your thumb and massage your third eye up.
Or this area on your forehead you can use both hands one hand different fingers but this area is often very tiny tense and tight and hooked into the lower energies so you want to open this area up and it also helps if you relax your jaw,
You can massage your face a little bit.
Even massage your scalp and look slightly up.
Slightly up.
Open the space.
And relax.
And to complete this practice for today.
I invite you to give yourself a hug.
I love to give myself hugs in the morning,
Especially when I wake up and I had a really rough night and I'm going through something challenging and I feel up already,
Feeling heavy.
The first thing I like to do is to simply hug myself.
And you can hug yourself in any way you feel good about it.
So I like to hug myself like this.
Sometimes I even use my hand to touch my face.
And I tune into what would feel nice if someone else would do.
Or in the back of the neck or maybe you want to hug yourself by having one hand on your chest and one hand around your waist Just tune into which type of hug feels best for you and give yourself a real hug.
Maybe it's also a light touch.
And breathe.
Mmm and relax.
Stroke yourself And there might be a part in you that says,
Yeah,
This is all nice,
But I wish someone else would really hug me.
Yeah,
And I hear you.
I hear you.
And sometimes there is no one.
And.
So it's nice to give yourself a little care.
And we are physical bodies.
I mean,
Physical beings and bodies.
Of course,
We have physical bodies also.
And touch is incredibly important.
And if you don't have someone to hug every day.
Or you don't go to massages regularly or you do something with your friends that you feel like you get enough physical touch it's really important to give yourself a little bit Mmm,
Beautiful.
Simply hold space for a moment for yourself and the space that you created for yourself.
And you can try these words thank you i love you Thank you.
I love you.
Thank you.
I love you.
Beautiful.
Now let go of the hands.
I hope this practice helped you to reconnect with yourself,
To give yourself a little touch and kindness.
If this was helpful for you,

Or go out and hug someone.
Invite someone else to be loving and kind.
