Discover the profound relaxation and healing potential of Yoga Nidra with "Immersed in Nourishing Waters." Yoga Nidra, often referred to as "yogic sleep," is a state of conscious deep relaxation. This guided meditation invites you into a serene and restorative journey, perfect for soothing the soul and calming the mind. As you settle into a wide-open state of awareness, you'll be gently guided to visualize or feel yourself floating in a tranquil ocean. The colors of the waters range from aquamarine to deep green or darkest blue, allowing you to notice which hue feels the most nourishing to you. Whether these waters are shallow and warm, sparkling in the sunshine, or cool and rising from mysterious depths, you'll find yourself enveloped in their gentle embrace for as long as feels right. After this meditation, you will emerge feeling deeply refreshed, rejuvenated, and at peace. Perfect for anyone seeking to unwind and reconnect with their inner tranquility. Music by Chris Collins

Welcome to this Soma Nidra.

Please take the next brief period of time to sit back and shift from thinking and doing to feeling and being.

Simply follow my guidance in making this important shift.

Make sure you can remain undisturbed.

Allow yourself to get really comfortable in your chair or take a moment to lie down.

Allow your spine to remain long,

Arms resting by your sides,

Legs and feet grounding into the earth and head light.

Let your weight release into the surface beneath you.

As you enter into this practice,

Simply welcome all that is arising and with a sense of allowing,

A sense that all is welcome here.

Take a deep breath in and sigh it out through the mouth.

Let your body soften with each exhaling breath.

Now feel into your physical body.

Notice the connection points of your body and the surface beneath you.

Let your weight soften into these connection points and give over any tension into the ground beneath you.

Plan your body for any remaining tension,

Starting with your mouth and jaw.

Any tension in the jaw dissolves as you gently and lightly separate teeth and lips,

And eyes softening all the muscles around your eyes.

Let all expression melt from your face,

Shoulders sliding down away from ears,

Belly soft and supple as it receives the breath.

Breath coming in,

Breath going out,

Sitting bones resting on the surface beneath you,

Legs and feet easing into the earth.

Notice the gentle movement of your belly and chest with the in and out flow of your breath.

Notice the very sensation as the air enters and exits your body through your nose.

Sense this movement in the belly and chest.

Listen for the sound of each incoming and outgoing breath.

Simply notice without any need to change anything.

Let your awareness expand.

In this wide open state of awareness,

Call forth before your mind's eye an image or invoke a feeling of floating in an ocean that has colors of aquamarine to deep green or darkest blue.

Notice what color feels the most nourishing.

These waters may be shallow and warm,

Sparkling in the sunshine,

Cool rising from mysterious depths.

Allow yourself to remain enveloped by these gentle waters for as long as feels good to you.

Rest here deeply within these replenishing waters.

Connect into the vast open knowing of your heart and soul's deepest wisdom.

Trusting the guidance of your inner being,

Your soul's wisdom guiding the way.

Slowly,

Become aware of the gentle rise and fall of your belly with the in and out flow of breath.

When there is a natural urge to rise to the surface of awareness,

Allow yourself to drift without effort,

Without pull,

A natural rising back into eye's open state of consciousness.

As your consciousness rises,

Keep a tendril of awareness connected to the deep knowing of your own body's wisdom that knows how to find balance,

Spaciousness,

And freedom.

Sharing the same life force as all beings of nature across all spaces and time.

Know you are now fully recharged by the touch of this nature nidra.

Anchoring to your breath.

Being fully in your body.

Sensing the temperature of the air on your skin.

The earth herself holding you.

When you are ready to begin to invite some movement back into your body,

Just begin to stretch with generosity and with a luscious ease of movement.

Going with whatever brings delight.

Welcome it in.

Welcome it in with generous warmth and love.

Sense yourself rested,

Grounded,

And open.

When you feel ready,

You can open the eyes.

Shifting back into your day or your evening.

Coming fully back.

This Soma Nidra is now coming to a close.

Aum Shanti Shanti Shanti
