This practice supports you to bring to mind the things you are grateful for. The thoughts that we have within the last minutes before we go to sleep determine the quality of our subconsciousness. That way, a grateful heart lets you drift away into a peaceful night of sleep.

Hello beautiful,

Welcome to this evening gratitude meditation.

I invite you to find a comfortable position,

Either sitting up with your spine straight and with the crown of your head being pulled up towards the ceiling or lying down on your back.

Your hands are either placed on your legs,

In your lap,

On the floor,

Besides you,

With the palms of your hands intuitively facing up or down.

And I invite you to bring your awareness into your breath,

Guiding it inwards,

Feeling the rising and falling of your chest,

Feeling that life,

That precious life flowing into you through your nose and out of you,

Out through your nose,

Following those cycles of gentle inhales and exhales.

Bringing your awareness into your heart,

Sensing the heartbeat and feeling gratitude for that very beating heart that you're feeling right now.

Feeling gratitude for having beaten all day long,

All those days that you have already lived,

All those weeks,

All those months,

All those years even.

Feeling deep gratitude for that heart.

If you want,

You can even place your hand on it,

Feeling the warmth of that hand and feeling that gratitude coming out from the very depth of your chest,

Following the inhales and the exhales,

Your breath together with your heart always supporting you with life,

Always being there for you day by day,

Supporting you and loving you and serving you in the best way it can,

No matter what you're occupied with,

No matter how much you're appreciating it or not,

Always being there,

Always beating for you.

If you want,

You can leave your hand on your chest or you can release it again,

Feeling the softness of the air touching your hand,

The palm of your hand,

Appreciating that stillness,

Appreciating that day coming to an end,

Appreciating that you got the chance to live another day,

That you got the chance to bring yourself and the gift that you carry inside of yourself out into the world one more day.

Appreciating that one more day in your life you lived healthy and you're safe and appreciating that one more day in your life you're able to go into your bedroom and go into a warm and nice bed,

Cuddle into your blanket,

Appreciate that one more day in your precious life you're able to look back at it,

To reflect and to be grateful for it.

And I now invite you to scroll through your day from the moment that you got up in the morning and that you felt the sole of your feet touching the floor underneath you,

From that very moment through all those hours of the day,

Scrolling through them and scanning them for all the nice things that happened,

For all the smaller and bigger miracles that you experienced,

For all the connections that you were able to make with people,

For all that,

For all the encounters that you had,

For all the eyes that you were able to look into and to connect with,

With all the souls that you have met,

Scrolling through your days and noticing all the magic that it held within it,

The little things,

The weather,

The sun or the wind in your face,

Your feet walking over secure ground,

Walking over the streets,

Your legs moving you forwards towards your goals,

Towards your visions,

A few steps closer today,

The lessons that you have learned today,

The little setbacks that made you stronger,

The good conversations that you were able to have,

The good food that you were able to enjoy,

The progress that you maybe took,

Or the self care that you could treat yourself with,

The messages that you sent and received from people,

The love that you exchanged,

The new friends that you maybe have yet,

Have you met today that you maybe don't know yet that they will be your friends,

The curiosity that you felt behind your little actions today,

The healthy body that you moved through your day today,

Feeling deep deep gratitude for all those things that seem mostly so normal to us and that we take for so granted because they are just there day by day,

But my dear one they are not,

They are precious and they are worthy,

Just like you are,

Tuning into yourself and feeling the gratitude that you hold for yourself,

For all the skills that you have,

For all the smaller and bigger achievements that you have yet mastered,

For all the kindness that you hold within yourself,

For all the love that you can give to yourself and to others,

To the beautiful being that you are 24 7,

No matter if you realize it or not,

The beautiful being that you are without having to run and achieve and do,

Just the beautiful being that you are by just being yourself,

By living and by carrying your very uniqueness and your very unique gift out into the world,

Feeling the gratitude inside of your chest softening,

Softening the inner critic that we all hold inside of us,

Softening negativity,

Softening clenching,

Washing away stress and frustration and anger and worry and fear,

Whatever we hold inside of us and that doesn't serve us,

Feeling it washing away and out of your system with every exhale that we take,

The conscious exhales,

Following them,

Observing them and observing how what doesn't serve us is leaving our system,

Our body,

Just dribbling out of ourselves,

Dribbling out of our body and just no longer being part of us,

Feeling that release,

Feeling that freedom,

Feeling that stillness,

Feeling that softness from our chest expanding into our entire body,

Softening any stiff muscles,

Softening any clenching,

Relaxing our entire body further down into the ground beneath us,

Embracing that stillness and embracing that gratitude that is flowing through our entire body from the very crown of our head and to the very tip of our little toe,

Embracing that gratitude flowing through our veins,

Flowing through all our cells,

Through our bones,

Through our muscles,

Through our head,

Through our chest,

Through our arms,

Even through our hands,

Through our stomach,

Through our hips,

Through our upper legs,

Through our knees and through our calves and even washing through our feet,

Connecting that entire body with that gratitude,

With that gratitude for yourself,

For your life and for everything that is within and around you.

Taking a deep inhale and releasing exhale,

Another deep inhale and releasing exhale.

And if you want,

You can bring the palms of your hands together,

Close your hands in front of your heart,

In front of your chest,

Tuck your chin in slightly and once again be present and bring that gratitude into presence,

Saying thank you to yourself,

To your life and to everything within you and around you.
