Hello,
My name is Maria Baltazzi,
And welcome to the ocean meditation,
Which is based on the breath,
The breath being used as a way to calm your overall nervous system.
Just simply breathe,
Relax.
While we are together,
There is nowhere else to go,
Nothing else to do,
Except to be here.
So sit comfortably upright with your hands on your lap,
Feet on the floor,
Or if you prefer,
Sitting cross-legged.
Now breathe in slowly through your nose,
Filling your chest,
Filling your abdomen,
And breathe out slowly through your nose,
Releasing all the air in your chest and abdomen.
Again,
Breathe in slowly through your nose,
Breathe out slowly out your nose,
Breathe in slowly,
Filling your chest,
Filling your abdomen,
Breathe out slowly and completely.
Breathe in through your nose,
Breathe out through your nose.
And now let your breath return to normal.
Relax your scalp.
Relax your forehead.
Relax your eyes.
Relax your jaw.
Relax your neck.
Relax your shoulders.
Relax your arms.
Relax your hands.
Relax your chest.
Relax your abdomen.
Relax your hips.
Relax your calves.
Relax your feet.
Breathe in now gently,
Slowly.
Keep your breath going in through your nose,
Out your nose.
And as you breathe out,
Slightly constrict your muscles in the back of your throat.
And as you breathe out,
It should sound like the ocean.
Keep this going each time you breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Now do this at your own pace.
Together,
We swim in the ocean of universal consciousness.
In this ocean,
Each of us is an individualized wave of consciousness of the perfection that lies within,
That we were each born with.
At your core,
During the times when the sediment of life is so stirred up that things are not clear,
Your purest essence is still perfection.
And it is filled with perfect love,
And in that love,
There lies gratitude and forgiveness.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
For the next several moments,
Focus on your breath.
Focus on the sound of your wave.
When thoughts of daily life arise,
Simply notice them without judgment or story.
Release them and focus back on your breath and the sound of your wave.
So for the next few minutes,
Simply rest in the rhythm of your own breath.
And I will keep track of the time.
I feel these vaguely.
.
.
.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Listening,
Focusing on the ocean-like sound of your breath.
When the stirred-up sentiment of life starts to settle,
Things become so much clearer.
You are able to detach from the way you think things should be,
Opening yourself up to experiencing a greater you,
In a greater abundance in all things.
This is your awareness,
Revealing a clear perspective,
Perhaps even a newer one.
This is why you meditate,
To enable the sediment of your hectic life to settle,
To become still,
Still enough for you to see the gifts you have to offer to yourself,
To those around you,
And to the world.
This is what leads to a more fulfilled,
More joyous and happier life.
Now tilt your head slightly downward,
Slowly open your eyes,
Take a moment,
Look up,
And go on with your day.
Thank you for sharing your meditation with me.
This is Maria Baltazzi.
The light in me sees the light in you.
