My name is Sneha Shah and today I am going to lead you through a guided meditation for greater self-acceptance.
Most of us tend to be very critical and judgmental of ourselves.
We judge our experiences,
We judge our feelings,
We judge our reactions and we doubt our thoughts.
We are so quick to compare ourselves with others and end up feeling inadequate and not good enough.
Self-acceptance is when we learn to accept and embrace every part of ourselves,
Not just the positive parts but all parts of ourselves.
Self-acceptance is unconditional.
True self-acceptance takes place when you recognize your weaknesses and still fully accept and love yourself just the way you are.
When you accept yourself,
Miracles start to happen.
You become more open and receptive to change.
You celebrate who you are and attract more and more positive people in your life.
So together let's create greater love and acceptance today.
It's simply amazing.
You can listen to this guided visualization by either sitting or lying down.
So begin by finding a comfortable position.
Just relax yourself and gently close your eyes as you take this inward journey.
Focus on your breath and allow yourself to quieten down.
If there are thoughts running in your head,
Just allow them to come and pass.
Take your attention gently back to your breath.
Notice your breath as you breathe in effortlessly and exhale.
If you're holding tension in any part of your body,
Just allow it to release as you breathe in and breathe out.
Notice yourself as being the watcher of your thoughts,
The observer of your thoughts,
Simply noticing them as they come and go.
Like clouds which are floating in the sky,
Not getting attached to any thought,
Knowing that they are only thoughts and thoughts can be changed.
Allow them to be there and then just let them go.
Inhale and slowly exhale.
Think of the things that you criticize or judge yourself for.
It could be your weight or the food you eat,
Your lack of confidence maybe,
Or your feeling that you're not smart enough.
Just bring your attention to what you criticize yourself for.
Just becoming aware,
Don't resist with it and don't engage in it.
For how long have you been criticizing yourself?
How often have you been criticizing yourself and has it changed anything for you?
Just become aware,
Remind yourself that loving yourself begins with never criticizing yourself for anything.
Criticism locks us into the very pattern we are trying to change.
We remain stuck,
Angry and resentful.
So today let us change the pattern with some wonderful affirmations and mantras.
So let us begin that and repeat these after me in your mind.
These are powerful statements and as you repeat them,
Feel it in your body.
I am enough.
I am doing enough.
I accept myself just the way I am.
I approve of myself.
I love myself.
I am at peace with myself.
I appreciate who I am and the way I have grown over the years.
I forgive myself for errors I may have made in the past.
I have done the best that I can with the awareness that I had then.
And I'm learning and growing each day.
I feel good about who I am today.
I accept my limitations just as I accept my strengths.
I release the need to compare myself with others.
I leave behind the regrets of the past or the anxiety of the future.
My life is unfolding perfectly.
I celebrate who I am and who I am becoming.
And all is well in my world.
Slowly bring your attention back to your breath.
Feeling a sense of deep peace and acceptance.
You are enough just the way you are.
Take slow deep breaths.
And today,
Repeat this mantra several times in the day.
I am enough.
I have enough.
And I'm doing enough.
