The guru is in you,
Is always speaking.
It's always speaking to you.
And this is how it happens.
For me,
It's experiences that we have in our relationships,
Our triggers.
I'm going to say this again,
Our triggers.
Can I say triggers one more time?
Our triggers.
Are constantly teaching us.
In the moments of joy and even the moment of any dis-ease or discomfort.
These are our teachers.
And again,
What is a guru?
Guru is our teachers.
It is the one that brings us wisdom.
So all these experiences brings us wisdom about who?
Ourselves.
See,
We don't have power over anybody else.
We can want people to act the way we want them to act.
We can hope that that person will be kind and considerate,
But what if they're not?
The only way,
Only control that we have is the control that we have interacting with the people.
Our guides,
And I love that word guide because a guru will tell you,
Your inner guru will tell you to go this way.
And sometimes you might go that way,
Especially in driving.
I hear it all the time.
And sometimes when I don't make that left and I keep going straight,
I get into the traffic and I'm like,
OK,
I heard you,
Guru,
But I did not take action.
It's a mirror,
And we talked about this earlier on,
It's a mirror reflecting what's going on in us.
We'll see it outside of us,
But also what we don't want in our life.
We'll see it like news.
We'll see it like what's happening with our government with the world that's happening the the the wars and rumor of wars We'll see that and the guru will tell us That's not who you are So we get to look at what's happening as a mirror of what we want.
The guru is also a liberator.
So what are my mantras?
I have a mantra on my arm right here.
One of my mantras that I study is Om Namah Shivaya.
Which is?
I pay homage to Lord Shiva that lives within me,
And Lord Shiva is the Hindu god that breaks down everything and is a destroyer.
See,
Sometimes you gotta be willing to be destroyed so that we can build ourselves up.
Listen y'all,
This happens on a daily basis whether we know it or not.
We're constantly being invited to release hate,
Fall,
To release what no longer serves so we can move into a place of our true nature.
The Guru.
Can give you answers and it gives you in simple,
Simple,
Simple answers.
It's peaceful.
It's not very,
Very loud.
Sometimes the lessons can be loud.
You know,
I've said this before.
Tap,
Tap,
Tap,
Tap.
Spirit's tapping on your head.
Tap,
Tap,
Tap,
Tap.
And then the tap becomes a knock,
Knock,
Knock,
Knock.
And then the knock,
Knock,
Knock becomes a bam,
Bam,
Bam,
Bam.
And then the next thing,
Who's ever had this happen to them?
There's a spiritual two by four that drops on your head.
And you're going,
OK,
I hear you now.
But remember,
We've been hearing the guru tapping.
A while ago.
We've been listening to the guru,
And it's a funny thing,
As you know,
When something's tapping on your heart.
I always say that,
You know,
When Pookie and Nene,
You know Pookie and Nene.
Pookie is that person that you got to have in your life.
Oh,
If Pookie just loved me,
I'd be OK.
And then Pookie gets into your life and they are God cleverly disguised as a maniac.
Somebody know I'm talking about.
Pookie got into your life,
You're like,
Wait a minute,
You ain't.
You ain't that person that I thought you were.
But there was something within you,
The guru within you was saying,
Hey,
You need to slow down on this.
Or maybe you're praying that you get this job,
Or you're praying that you get this situation,
And you get there,
You go,
Oh,
Wow.
Wow.
And it's not to say that you run from that job or that situation.
The question that we need to begin to ask is,
Guru,
Teach me what I need to know while I'm here.
