Hello,
This is Rev Skip Jennings,
And welcome.
Our meditation today is all about the breath.
I don't know about you,
But I feel like our time of transformation is in turbo motion.
Everything is moving so fast.
It's at a fast pace.
Even in this time where we're still called to be in a reset motion.
These lessons of growth are coming quickly.
So quickly that we forget to breathe.
We're experiencing two timelines.
We're experiencing a timeline of the three dimensional feeling.
On one side of us,
We're hearing and we're feeling like we're not enough and we're not going to have life that we used to have.
We could be doing more.
All our fears and challenges are being experienced in this timeline.
But then there is the fifth dimensional timeline that we've prayed in.
We've asked the energy of the universe to come forth in this time.
And this fifth dimension is very powerful.
The fifth dimension is where our spirit operates from.
It is a place where we hear our messages that we are enough,
That we are love,
That we can connect with each other.
So we're seeing and experiencing these two timelines simultaneously.
It's not a duality.
It is a polarity.
I believe that everything is part of the same divine energy.
But how we are experiencing it feels different.
These lessons and opportunities to grow are so powerful that they can be overwhelming if we don't remember to breathe.
What I love about the grand scheme of everything,
We don't have to remind ourselves to take a breath.
We breathe naturally.
It happens.
Imagine if we had to remind ourselves to take a breath every time.
That would drive us crazy.
So the breath is a natural interaction with our spirit.
In fact,
I call breath a physical manifestation of our soul.
The breath is also known as prana.
And prana is energy.
And as we breathe in the energy,
We can actually feel the frequency shift within ourselves.
We can change what we are feeling and shift our emotions just by taking a breath.
If we are being challenged with abundance or finding a job or feeling as if we are not enough,
If we remember to just take a breath,
Those negative thoughts will shift.
Take a breath.
If we are in the middle of a challenging argument or a conversation and you feel like the other person or even yourself is not truly communicating.
Take a breath.
If you are in the midst of a physical challenge,
We can take a breath to ease any dis-ease.
Take a breath.
When life feels like it's piling up on you with many,
Many challenges and you feel out of sorts,
Take a breath.
So that's what we're going to do today.
We're going to simply remember to breathe.
So I invite you to get comfortable,
Find a place where you can sit and erect your spine.
Place your feet firmly onto the floor and bring your hands onto your knees.
Palms are open or create the mudra of om with the index finger and the middle finger coming together.
And if you decide to lay down,
Cool.
Feel the contour of your body into the floor or into the cushion.
Recognize that the body is in ease.
And take a breath.
Close your eyes.
Follow the breath.
Notice when you breathe in,
Notice how you feel.
Notice the movement of the torso.
Notice the vibration of frequency that mindful breathing will invite you to have.
Begin to breathe from the belly.
Most of us breathe from the chest up.
But today I want you to get deep into the groin area and notice when you do belly breathing.
There is this massive expansion because we're bringing in the prana.
We're bringing in the life force and begin to notice when you exhale,
There's this release.
And in the release today,
I want you to fully release any of your doubts,
Fears,
Worries,
Cares,
Any sense of separation,
Any sense of lack.
Release.
Let go.
The Buddha once said,
Pain is inevitable.
Suffering is optional.
So today,
Release your suffering.
Even if it's for the short period of this practice.
Inhale the life force.
Exhale release.
Inhale prana.
Exhale suffering.
Don't worry about the time.
Let yourself fully immerse into this practice.
I will signal when it's time to come back into this space.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Let's breathe.
You.
.
.
.
.
Welcome back.
As you continue to breathe and as you continue to be aware of your breath,
I invite you to slowly begin to bring your awareness back into the space.
Begin to move your fingers and your toes and slowly awaken the body temple.
Begin to open up the eyes and just feel,
Feel the calm,
The ease,
Feel the practice.
And I invite you whenever life feels overwhelming,
Just breathe.
Return to your breath.
I bless you and I thank you.
Namaste.
