This meditation is focused on opening the heart. We begin by presencing ourselves and then imagine an emerald green light is coming into the body to activate the heart or anahata chakra. Then we work with the seed sound of the heart, YAM, and the mantra, I am open to love.

And we are going to move through a meditation today that is focused on the heart.

And we'll work with a mantra.

We'll work with the seed mantra for the heart,

Which is yam,

Y-a-m.

And we'll also work with a mantra about opening the heart and remembering that love resides within us.

So that is the plan.

So you can find a way to be in your body.

If you can find a comfortable way to be great,

And you can either close your eyes or soften your gaze or find a grounding focal point in your space.

Just take a moment to get settled.

I invite you to bring your awareness and attention to the breath.

Begin to feel your inhales and exhale.

And now I invite you to begin to deepen and lengthen your breath in your body.

As you deepen your breath,

Begin to settle down and settle in.

And now I invite you to begin to settle down and settle in.

And take a moment to notice what is present.

As you come into the space this morning,

What is present?

It's moving through.

Notice the sensations,

The feelings,

The quality of the thoughts.

And take a moment to check in with your spirit.

How is your spirit?

How is your spirit?

How is your spirit?

Now I invite you to bring your awareness back to the breath.

Now as you inhale,

I invite you to imagine breathing in the emerald green light.

Green is the color connected or associated with the Anahata chakra,

The heart chakra.

Breathing in this emerald green light,

Allowing it to warm up the upper body and the heart.

Activating the Anahata chakra with this emerald green light.

Now as you inhale,

I invite you to bring your awareness back to the breath.

Now as you inhale,

I invite you to bring your awareness back to the breath.

And as you activate the heart chakra with the breath and this emerald green light,

I invite you to either silently or loud,

You can repeat the seed sound,

The seed mantra for the heart,

Which is yam.

It's y-a-m.

So repeating it silently or loud.

It is yam,

Yam,

Yam.

You can just continue to repeat it.

And if you're working with the mantra yam,

Yam,

Yam.

Just take a moment to notice how your heart feels as you activate it in this way.

Now as you inhale,

I invite you to bring your awareness back to the breath.

You can continue to repeat yam,

Yam,

Yam.

Or let go of that mantra and I invite you to either keep your hands where they are or to now bring a hand to the heart,

Maybe the right hand to the heart,

Left hand on top of the right,

Or one hand to the heart.

Taking a moment to hold the heart after having invited in this emerald green light and the seed sound yam,

Yam,

Yam.

Really take a moment here to be with your heart.

And I will invite you to practice one more mantra.

And the mantra is I am open to love.

I am open to love.

I am open to love.

I am open to love.

You notice any blocks in your experience as you keep in your connection with your heart and speak this mantra I am open to love.

I invite you to meet those blocks or any resistance with a deep breath.

Seeing if the breath can soften as something in your body,

Physical body or energy body,

Or to soften the space around the heart.

I am open to love.

I am open to love.

I am open to love.

I am open to love.

I am open to love.

And as you feel ready,

You can either continue to repeat the mantra I am open to love or let go.

You might keep your hands as they are or if you'd like to bring the palms together and into heart center,

You can move into Anjuli Mudra.

Stay connected to the heart.

In your capacity to open to love.

Taking some time if you'd like to set an intention from the heart,

From the heart space,

An intention for this morning or today or beyond.

May you be safe,

Happy and free.

May all beings everywhere be safe,

Happy and free.

May our thoughts,

Words and actions contribute to that safety,

Happiness and freedom for all.

May our world be just.

May we open to love.

May we all find peace.
