So I'm just going to invite people to find a comfortable way to be in your body,
If that's possible for you at this time.
And that can be seated or moving on to your back or side or belly or standing.
See if you can find a comfortable way to be in your body.
And you can close your eyes or find a grounding focal point in the room or you can soften your gaze and you can let your hands rest wherever feels comfortable.
And once you find your posture,
Just begin to turn your attention to your breath and feel your inhales and exhales.
And my dog has decided to play during this meditation.
So if you hear squeaky toys,
That's Jasper joining us for this meditation slash journey.
Reminding us that play is important,
Joy is important.
And so as you turn your attention to your breath,
Just begin to deepen it and lengthen it and offer a longer breath in longer breath out.
And allow the breath to help you settle down and settle in to this space.
And this moment.
Allow the breath to support you in meeting the present moment and being with what is at this time.
And now I invite you to really notice the physical sensation of breathing.
So notice the shape change in your body as you inhale.
Notice the shape change in your body as you exhale.
Notice what moves as you breathe in and breathe out.
Notice how you move as you breathe in and breathe out.
And as you breathe here,
I invite you to notice how you feel.
Notice the physical sensations.
Notice any emotions moving through.
If you notice thoughts,
Just note the quality of the thoughts.
Notice how your spirit feels.
Now notice your heart and what is present as you connect with your heart,
Your heart space and your heartbeat.
And now bring your awareness back to your breath and just take a moment here to let your body breathe.
Take a moment to let your body breathe.
And now take a moment to take a moment here to let your body breathe.
And as you breathe,
I invite you to become aware of all of the breaths and life forces that led you to this moment and made you come into being in this lifetime.
So perhaps you will trace back to ancestors.
Perhaps you will connect with people or beings in your bloodline.
Perhaps lineages connected to spiritual practice or a faith tradition.
Perhaps you will trace back to the natural world with an awareness of how long it has been and how short of a time we have been here.
Just take a moment to go back and allow your consciousness and your heart to travel back through your bloodline,
Lineages,
Lines,
Ancestry,
The earth,
The soil.
And as you trace back and go back,
I invite you to ask for information or guidance,
Anything that might help support us at this time.
What wisdom is available to you as you trace back?
And perhaps words emerge or images abstract.
Ask for the medicine and wisdom that we need at this time from the energies and people that came before us.
And as you draw on the energy of the beings,
Deities,
Guides,
Spirits that came before us,
Consider what medicine you want to bring forward at this time.
What medicine do you want to bring forward at this time?
And as you envision the medicine you will bring forward at this time,
I invite you to contemplate how you will share your medicine.
How will you share your medicine?
How can your medicine be salve or soothing balm to the collective humanity and the planet?
And now I invite you to come up with a symbol,
Something that represents this medicine so you can imprint it in your consciousness,
Your awareness,
Your heart,
Your spirit,
Your emotional state,
Your physical body.
Come up with a symbol that represents the medicine you're bringing forth at this time.
And don't overthink it.
Just let the image come to you.
And notice everything you can about your image,
The colors,
The shape of it.
Notice if it's familiar to you.
Notice if a sound is associated with it or a temperature or a texture.
And imprint the symbol in your memory.
And now take a moment to bring your awareness back to your heart space,
Your heartbeat.
Take a moment to bring your awareness to your spirit and notice how your spirit feels.
Take a moment once again to notice the quality of the thoughts.
Note any emotions moving through.
Note any sensations in the body.
Notice how your physical body feels at this time.
And if it would feel helpful,
You might even just touch a part of your body just to presence yourself.
You are in a body at this time.
And you have a purpose.
And you have medicine to bring forth.
And for these next few cycles of breath,
Just taking a moment to honor all that has been.
So to honor the past,
Honor the present,
Honor death,
And honor rebirth.
Take a few more rounds of breath.
And continue to breathe.
Continue to breathe and begin to come back into this virtual space and to presence yourself.
And you can take your time.
You might invite in some movement.
You might invite in a deeper breath.
You might blink open the eyes if you feel like you want to open your eyes.
And if you open your eyes,
Just take a moment to notice the space you are in.
And so you might notice any objects that are in the space,
Any colors,
Just where you are in space.
If it would feel good to have your feet on the ground,
You might place your feet on the earth or just notice the parts of the body that are touching the earth.
Just take a moment to come back.
And sit down and take a moment to look through the rearview mirror.
