Hello and welcome to this meditation.
Thank you for taking the time to meditate with me today.
Take a few moments to just get comfortable,
Whether you're seated or lying down,
Just take a few moments to find a comfortable seated position,
Sitting up nice and tall,
Lengthening through the spine,
Maybe draw your shoulders up and back,
Place your feet on the ground and hold your body tall and straight.
And if you're lying down,
Find a comfortable and safe space,
Maybe wrap a warm blanket around yourself and get comfortable as you prepare to spend these next few moments in quietness and contemplation.
Slowly start to deepen your breath as you begin to disconnect from the external world and go inwards.
Take a long,
Deep breath in and a slow,
Gentle breath out.
And begin to cultivate an acceptance of this moment exactly as it is.
Breathing into whatever it is that's arising for you at this moment.
Allow yourself to fully experience everything that you're feeling without judgment,
Without criticism.
And allow yourself to accept yourself in this moment just as you are.
You are exactly where you need to be.
We accept and change,
But what we resist will persist.
So allow yourself to cultivate an acceptance of this moment just as it is.
And as you continue to breathe slow and deep,
Let your awareness go deeper inwards.
Maybe place both palms at your heart center,
One palm at your belly and one at your heart center,
Connecting to your body,
To your breath.
And allow yourself to bring to mind people in your life that you care about,
That you love so deeply.
And see if you can extend a sense of acceptance to them.
Sometimes we hold the people that we love to impossibly high standards.
We accept and expect a lot from them.
And when they don't meet those standards,
We're disappointed,
We're frustrated,
We're angry.
But with a soft heart,
Allow yourself to love and accept them exactly as they are.
Thinking of them and seeing them through the lens of love,
And whispering softly,
I love and accept you exactly as you are.
There is nothing that you need to change in them.
There is nothing that needs to be fixed,
Because nothing is broken.
Extending love and compassion to the people in your life.
Take a deep breath in,
And a slow breath out.
And then from this space to your heart,
Allow yourself to love and accept yourself exactly as you are.
We so often are our own worst critics.
We can speak so harshly to ourselves.
But in this moment,
Allow yourself to extend love,
Compassion,
And acceptance to yourself exactly as you are.
I love and accept myself exactly as I am.
I extend love to all parts of myself.
The shadow and the light,
The yin and the yang.
Everything is what makes me.
All that I am.
I love and appreciate and accept myself exactly as I am.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in,
And a gentle,
Soft,
Cleansing breath out.
May you carry the sense of love and acceptance with you through the rest of the day.
May you continue to look at yourself and at others through the light,
Through the eyes of love and acceptance.
