Hi lovely one,
Welcome,
I'm so glad you're here.
This is your space,
A gentle,
Nourishing pause to come home to yourself.
As parents and givers,
We're often thinking about everyone else,
And what they need,
How they're feeling,
How we can do better,
Give more,
Show up again.
But today,
Just for a few quiet minutes,
This is about you.
You matter too.
If you have a journal and pen nearby,
Bring them with you.
If not,
Feel free to just listen and reflect.
Let's begin by taking a slow,
Deep breath in,
And a gentle breath out.
Let's do that again.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Allow your body to soften,
Allow your shoulders to drop,
Allow your heart to be held.
Now gently place a hand over your heart,
Or your belly,
Anywhere you want to bring awareness to.
Let yourself land here.
You don't need to be anything other than who you are right now.
Tired?
Hopeful?
Overwhelmed?
Grateful?
It's all welcome.
Take one more deep breath and arrive fully.
When you're ready,
Gently open your journal and let these prompts meet you where you are.
How am I really doing right now?
Give yourself permission to be honest.
No censoring.
Let it all out.
Now you may pause the recording here or simply allow this to flow and allow the responses to come.
What do I need today,
Mentally,
Emotionally,
Or physically,
That I've been putting off?
Even the tiniest whisper of a need is worth listening to.
When was the last time I felt joy,
Spaciousness,
Or lightness?
What was I doing?
Who was I with?
How did that moment feel in my body?
If I believed that I mattered too,
What would I choose for myself this week?
Let this be something nourishing.
A five-minute ritual.
A conversation.
A boundary.
A breath.
What's one small way I can hold myself with compassion today?
You might write a mantra,
An action step,
Or just a gentle reminder.
Take your time.
There's no rush here.
Pause the track if you need more space.
As you close your journal,
Take a moment to place a hand back on your heart.
Whisper this to yourself,
Even if it feels tender.
I matter.
I am worthy of care.
I am doing enough.
I am enough.
You don't need to do this perfectly.
You're already showing up,
And that's brave.
If this practice spoke to you,
I'd love to invite you to continue practicing with me and explore my movement,
The Joyful Parenting Project.
It's a space where we bring more mindfulness,
Connection,
And joy into the day-to-day of parenting,
While also honoring your emotional needs as a caregiver.
You can find out more information in the show notes.
Until then,
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for being you.
You matter too.
