Welcome to this meditation on suspending thought.
Today's meditation will support you to suspend your habitual thinking so that you can take breaks from the thoughts that create anxiety and depression.
Today I invite you to focus on setting aside your ego thinking for a few minutes so that you can experience the healing available in the present moment as fully as possible.
I suggest that you begin by sitting in an upright position or laying down on your back.
And as you gently bring awareness to your breath,
You only need to observe yourself breathing with full present moment attention.
Do not change anything,
Just accept what is right now.
Observe the movements,
The emotions and the sensations in your body with each inhalation and each exhalation with no need to change anything right now.
Let your attention travel with the air passing through your nose as you inhale and exhale.
Continue being aware of your breath throughout this meditation,
Remembering as you breathe in and out,
Each instant of being present in the moment is a moment of healing.
As you settle in deeper now,
Consider not knowing,
Just for a little while,
Not knowing what you know about yourself,
Not thinking about your past,
Your current life or your future,
Purposely forgetting your struggles,
Your anxiety,
Taking a small break from all the thoughts that your habitual ego generates,
Breathing in healing and breathing out all the discomfort you might feel,
Letting go of all distressing thoughts through your outbreath,
Just for a little while,
Resting in the present moment.
And if thoughts come up,
You can gently repeat the mantra,
Still mind,
I don't know,
Breathing in,
Still mind,
Breathing out,
I don't know.
And again,
Breathing in,
Still mind and breathing out,
I don't know.
Begin to notice what each unique present moment feels like,
Each moment different from the next and become attentive to each present moment as it shifts and as it changes.
When thoughts come,
You might say to yourself,
These thoughts do not mean anything,
Just allowing yourself to rest in this window of non-thinking awareness for a few moments,
Taking a break from what you normally think about what you normally know.
Breathing in and breathing out,
Inviting your body and your mind to reorganize into the healing available in this present moment,
Stepping away from your struggles just for a short time,
To experience what it feels like,
To take a break from depression,
To take a break from anxiety,
Remembering that whenever you are fully in the present moment not in your conditioned ego mind,
You are healing your body,
You are healing your mind,
You are healing your emotions,
Consciously exercise your healing powers by suspending your thought and opening up your wider awareness,
Opening up to your intuition,
Quieting the ego generated thoughts that cause distress just for a short time,
Seeing how this feels as you learn to relax more and more into this present moment,
You will spontaneously tap into your intuitive mind for insights into how to direct your healing process,
This healing present moment,
Breathing into this moment.
And now breathing into this next moment.
And when you are ready,
You can gently open your eyes and consider breathing into more of your present moments today.
You are creating many healing present moments,
Many more gaps in your regular thinking,
Breathing love and healing in,
Breathing pain and depression out,
Consciously creating many small healing moments throughout your day,
Letting this moment hold you in silence,
Taking one more break from your ego thoughts,
Let this moment hold you in peace.
