Hello.
Thank you for joining me for this Hawaiian Forgiveness Prayer,
Ho'oponopono.
Ho'oponopono literally translates to,
To make things right.
This prayer can be used for reconciliation in relationships or finding resolve with a difficult situation you've faced in your past.
To begin,
Find either a comfortable seat or you can practice lying down.
Take a few moments to settle in.
You can use a blanket under your sit bones to help elongate the spine or if you choose to lie down,
Using a blanket to cover the body and a pillow under the head.
As you arrive in a comfortable position,
Begin to tune into the breath.
Taking a cleansing breath deep into the belly and sighing it out,
Letting it go with sound.
Another expansive breath in,
Inviting in peace.
And exhaling anything that is no longer serving you.
Take a third cleansing breath in,
Sigh it out,
Let it go.
Ho'oponopono is a simple prayer which contains four parts.
The first,
I'm sorry.
Followed by,
Please forgive me.
Followed by,
Thank you.
And closing with,
I love you.
Let's begin.
Take a moment to mentally project the person or situation from your mind's eye directly in front of you.
See this person or situation that needs resolve clearly in your mind's eye.
Gaze deep into the person's eyes.
Feel their energy present with you now.
Begin by saying,
I'm sorry.
I'm so deeply sorry.
I'm sorry for the pain that the situation has caused.
I'm sorry that our soul contracts played out in this way.
I'm so sorry.
Now visualize this person repeating this back to you.
As they gaze deep in your eyes,
Saying,
I'm so deeply sorry.
I'm sorry for the turmoil,
The pain,
The heartache that this situation has caused.
I'm sorry.
Now you tell them,
Please forgive me.
Please forgive me for this situation.
Please forgive me for the tears you have cried.
Please forgive me for the pain that I have caused.
Please forgive me.
Now reversing the roles and having this person ask for forgiveness of you.
Please forgive me for how I have hurt you.
Please forgive me for the decisions that have led us to this moment.
Please forgive me for the heartache.
Please forgive me for the impact this has had on you and your life.
Please forgive me.
Now stepping back into your role.
Thank you.
Thank you for fulfilling this soul contract.
Thank you for committing to the challenge of this contract and seeing it through.
Thank you for playing your role in this experience.
Thank you for all that you have shown me.
Thank you for helping me to grow through this experience.
Thank you.
Once more reversing the roles as they tell you,
Thank you.
Thank you for the person you have been in my life.
Thank you for the lessons that you have taught me.
Thank you for holding up your end of the soul contract.
No matter how painful it was for you.
Thank you for your energy.
Thank you for your time.
Thank you for helping me to grow and evolve.
Thank you.
Now closing this prayer as you tell them,
I love you.
I love you so much.
Gazing deeper into their eyes.
I love you for all of you.
I love you for all of the highs,
All of the lows and everything in between.
I love you for playing this role in my life.
I love you so much.
Once more,
Stepping into their shoes as they tell you,
I love you.
I love you deeply.
I cherish this love I have for you.
I love you for the way you have shown up in my life.
I love you for everything you have given in this relationship.
I love you for who you are at your core.
I love you so much.
Once more,
Gazing deep into their eyes.
Feeling the warmth of their embrace.
The warmth of their heart.
The warmth of their words.
The warmth of this prayer.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Perhaps drawing them in for a warm embrace,
Heart to heart.
And releasing,
Gazing into the eyes one last time.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
Take a full belly breath in.
And an open mouth exhale,
Let it go.
Begin to feel your body on the surface beneath you.
Become aware of any emotions that are present without judgment,
Simply witnessing what is alive for you right now.
Invite in another breath.
And exhale to release.
And as you feel ready,
You can flutter the eyes open.
You can repeat this prayer and practice as many times as you need in order to fully reconcile the emotions that are alive within you.
And find peace with the situation and those involved.
Keep in mind that when you find peace within yourself,
It creates a ripple effect,
Creating peace around the entire situation.
I hope that you find this prayer beneficial and supportive for your healing journey.
Thank you for trusting me with this practice.
From my heart to yours,
Namaste.
