A grounding body scan to bring awareness to the body and breath. This guided meditation will help relax your nervous sytem, gently restore peace and remind you of this sacred truth: we are each connected to Heaven and we are each part of Earth. This meditation was inspired by the wonderful book "Ask Your Angels".

Find a comfortable and quiet place to sit or lie down.

As you begin to settle in,

Go ahead and close your eyes,

Placing your hands on top of your thighs or resting by your side.

We'll start slowing the breath,

Feeling the rhythm of your deep inhale,

And letting all the air out on a big exhale.

See if you can find that sweet moment where your inhale and exhale meet,

Like the crashing of a wave that is gently pulled into the ocean.

Together we'll do four cycles of breath,

Inhaling for four seconds,

Exhaling for four seconds,

And holding for four seconds.

Focus your attention on your body,

Beginning down with your feet.

Move your awareness through the bottoms of your feet,

Breathing as you focus on the physical sensations of feel relaxation in your pelvis,

Tips of your fingers,

Awareness to your neck,

Shoulders,

And imagine that you are surrounded by exhale any remaining tension you may have,

Tends to drift or chatter lovingly.

Find yourself back to your picture,

Tiny roots coming out of the soles of your base of your spine.

Feel them growing,

Roots are extending down through you into the earth,

As your roots sinking very securely.

Next,

Inhale,

Imagine that you can breathe through your roots.

Draw the energy of the earth through your roots,

Just as you would draw liquid through a straw.

Draw the earth energy up into your body,

Feel the earth energy begin to fill your heart,

Force through your entire being.

Bring your attention up to the top of your head,

Imagine a spot at the top,

Need to open ever so slightly,

Branches through the ceiling,

Stretching up into the sky,

Out into the heavens.

Imagine these filaments are connecting you to the sun,

Planets,

And all the stars.

Do inhale,

Breathe in the energy of the heavens,

Down through these fibers and into your body,

Through the top of your head.

Draw this light energy down into your heart,

Letting it fill you with the radiant light of the heavens.

Feel it course through your entire being.

Now you are breathing in both streams of energy at the same time.

Allow these two energies to weave together in your heart securely.

Whenever you're ready,

Start to become aware of your body again.

Start to bring in all the sounds.

There is no rush,

Slowly.
