Let's begin.

Let's begin by finding a way to be comfortable in the body.

Where the body feels wholly and completely supported by whatever it's resting on.

Can we find ease in the body in this moment?

What does ease feel like?

Perhaps ease feels like a letting go.

Releasing the body's tendency to grip,

To brace,

To protect.

Can we bring a feeling of ease to the feet,

And the calves,

The ankles,

And the knees?

Can we find ease in the thighs,

And the hips,

And the buttocks,

And the belly?

Ease through the low back,

Around through the front of the chest.

Ease in the collarbones,

The shoulder blades,

Letting the chest fall open.

Letting gravity invite you downward.

Letting the earth receive you as you are.

Finding ease through the shoulders and the tops of the arms,

The elbows,

All the way down to fingertips.

I release whatever barriers I have toward the world in this moment.

I allow myself to open to the world.

Can we find ease in the neck,

The base of the skull,

The jaw,

Cheeks,

Mouth,

Tongue resting at the bottom of the mouth.

Ease.

Ease in the eyebrows,

The eyelids,

Let there be sweetness here,

A gentleness.

There is nothing to puzzle through in this moment.

Welcoming ease.

If there is somewhere else in your body that could use a little bit more ease,

Let's bring our attention to it.

Bringing our focus to this place in the body.

Breathing in ease.

Breathing out release.

Often what we hold in our bodies in terms of tension or stiffness goes beyond the body itself.

What tension am I carrying in my mind?

In my emotions?

Can I let my mind be easy in this moment?

Can I find an easy emotional space?

Perhaps a space of equanimity?

To be easy in the body is to trust that I can come to no harm.

No matter what happens in the world,

I know that I am safe.

And I am exactly where I'm meant to be.

Let's bring our awareness to our easy breath moving in through the back of the body.

And pausing in the heart space before we send that breath out through the front of the body.

Breathing in strength and balance from the earth.

And breathing out opening up toward the world.

Let's take five breaths at your own depth and rate.

Breathing in from the earth.

Pausing in the stillness.

And breathing out opening toward the world.

I invite you in this moment to call to mind where you are.

And letting go of that image,

I invite you to imagine an infinite number of places that exist on the planet.

There are so many places we can't wrap our heads around it.

And if we widen our scope to imagine the infinite number of places that exist in the universe.

Is the place where we are more important than any other place?

Is your perspective from inside your space?

Is your perspective any more important than anyone else's?

We are consciousness.

We are all consciousness.

Breathing in through the back body,

Pausing in the heart center.

What does it feel like to be consciousness?

What would happen to you if you were able to release your entire self-concept and simply be consciousness?

I'd invite you to notice the response in your body in this moment.

What do you notice in your body when you consider releasing your entire self?

See if you can notice what the dominant response is.

Is there fear present?

Is there excitement?

Curiosity?

What would we need to let go of in order to be consciousness?

Our name?

Our roles?

Our beliefs?

What is it that remains?

What is left without the ways that we identify ourselves?

Who am I?

I am not my emotions.

I am consciousness.

Spend the next few moments together in silence,

Breathing with the mantra.

Let that simply be enough.

Taking one last moment with that that you are.

That observer consciousness.

Then slowly beginning to bring your awareness back into the room,

Welcoming in some small movements.

Doing what your body is asking for before coming back into the space.
