This is Daily Magic for Peace.
Today we will send magic for balance.
Welcome to the circle.
Today the only item you need to have is your feet or however you connect to the ground.
I welcome you here however you're feeling today.
I welcome you into the circle that we intend together.
This place where we are connected regardless of space and time.
I welcome you to take your seat and join us as we do some magic.
So if you haven't taken a breath today,
I invite you to take a breath.
Let's do that together again and let's orient for a moment.
Let's allow ourselves to notice.
Notice what's around you right now.
Just see if you can go into a different state of being and maybe leave aside needing to do things,
Needing to accomplish things and switch into kind of an observer mode and notice the colors around you.
Maybe feel the temperature of the air on your skin.
What do you smell?
What do you hear?
This is an interesting exercise to drop into every now and then to just see about creating more presence.
And now that we're here a little more together,
I invite you to notice your grounding.
Notice your space.
Notice how you feel in your body right now,
In this amazing body that helps you get things done,
That helps you hug the people you love,
That helps you reach out and help others.
And today I thought it might be interesting,
In addition to connecting to our grounding,
To connect up to the sky.
So feeling into that grounding,
Your roots,
Your sense of connection to the earth,
Maybe allowing it to grow a little wider,
A little more definite and feeling up through your body and also connecting up to the sky.
Feeling into the space above your body and up into the sky.
You might have to go through a ceiling or two and just play with what does it feel like to be extended up the same way you are extended down.
Sometimes it almost feels like traction to me.
It feels very engaging and there's a kind of stretching quality to it in a very effortless way.
This is the energy I'd like to work with today with you.
The earth-sky balance.
In some practices,
Tai Chi for example,
There is a definite intentional connection between earth and sky.
The connection,
The middle ground is our body.
We are the bridge between earth and sky.
And with this idea in mind,
Feel into that part of your body that's touching the ground,
Well touching the floor or the seat or whatever is representative of the ground,
Whatever is being supported by the ground.
And now bring your attention to the top of your head,
That part of you that's most likely pointed up toward the sky and just notice these two parts of your body.
This is where you're touching the earth.
This is where you're touching the sky.
You are a conduit between the two.
You are balanced right now.
And think about that idea,
Balance.
Feel into that word,
Balance,
That concept.
What does balance feel like in your body?
And I invite you to take a breath and then join me in sending out this sense of balance that you feel in your body.
I invite you to join me in crafting it into a prayer,
Into an intention,
And joining me in sending it out into the world for anybody who needs more balance at this moment,
Whether it's your mom in Philadelphia or your friend in LA or wherever you might have people in the world.
And let's also send some extra balance to the people in Ukraine and Russia.
And this might seem like kind of a froofy thing to be sending them when they're in the middle of something pretty intense,
But I feel like we all need all the balance we can get.
The balance of all the forces tugging at us,
The competing needs,
Just a basic,
Very elemental sense of balance between heaven and earth,
If you will.
This is a very simple,
A very subtle prayer.
I'm just wishing you more balance in your life today and wishing them more balance in their life today,
Whatever is going on for them.
Very simple prayer.
And I thank you for helping me focus this intention.
And I thank you for spending a moment in balance with me.
And so it is.
Thank you so much for being with us today.
Your presence,
Your energy and your heart make all the difference in healing our world.
Remember to breathe today,
Breathe and expand.
