From Champigny,

I'm Colleen Thomas.

This is daily magic for peace.

Today we will honor those left behind.

Welcome to the circle.

So all you need today is a blank postcard.

If you don't have one around,

Take a second and think about what kind of energy and resonance a postcard has for you and see if there's something else you could substitute.

I'll leave it up to you.

I welcome you to our circle today.

I invite you to take a breath with me.

So to start,

Let's get present.

I invite you to join me in looking around your space or the space you're in and seeing where there is shadow.

Maybe identify the light source or sources and notice where something is creating a shadow,

Something is in the way of that light source,

Something is blocking that light source.

And if you use your hands as your eyes,

Notice where there is empty space.

Notice the space between objects.

So let yourself explore shadows and spaces between right now with us for a moment.

And join me now in transitioning.

The magic today is to honor those left behind.

And thinking about this specifically through the lens of what's happening in Ukraine,

This could be something that we sit with in terms of somebody in Ukraine who has lost people,

Somebody in Ukraine who has been left behind.

Maybe their loved one is fighting,

Or maybe their loved one has passed on through the violence that has been happening throughout Ukraine.

But this practice could also be used if you're the one who's been left behind.

So what I'd love for you to do right now is very clearly picture the person you are going to write this postcard to.

Is it a friend of yours in Ukraine?

Is it a relative of yours in Ukraine?

Is it somebody maybe you don't know in Ukraine?

Is it to somebody somewhere else in the world?

Or is it to you?

Bring that person very clearly to mind.

Maybe imagine sitting in front of them in a chair with your knees together,

You're very close together,

Just looking into their eyes.

And maybe place a hand on your heart.

And feel into what does my heart want to say to this person?

If my heart could write this postcard by itself without my help,

What would it say?

What are the words that would just automatically come out of my mouth from my heart to this person?

To this sacred,

Beautiful,

Amazing person who is here right in front of me,

Who is here right with me?

What would I want to say to them?

And as you touch in with that energy,

Allow yourself to connect with the postcard and your pen wherever you're going to write down your thoughts.

Spend some time now letting them come from your heart down your arm into your hand and come out in that handwriting or typing if you're on a phone.

Just let your wisdom and your love and your sentiments and your thoughts come out of your heart.

And let your thoughts and your wishes for this person stream onto the paper.

Don't be afraid to say exactly how you feel.

This person's heart is probably very tender and open right now.

And they probably would really love to hear everything your heart has to say.

Letting that wisdom flow out of you,

Those sentiments.

It's magic what you're doing.

And if you need a few more minutes,

Feel free to pause the podcast.

And if you're ready,

If you're finished,

Maybe pick up the postcard and hold it in your hands.

And let your love flow from your heart down your arms into your hands and your palms,

Just infusing it with all that cannot be put into words.

Just allowing that to flow into the paper,

Allowing your magic to settle into this communication.

And now we come to the act of letting go,

Of letting this little tiny piece of cardstock go out into the big wide world,

Maybe across the big wide world,

Toward that person.

Letting it go,

Knowing it might get lost,

Knowing somebody might read it.

And so this is the moment when we just release it and we let the world carry it.

And we let it fly through the internet if we're emailing it and we can put a stamp on it and release it into the mailbox if we're physically mailing it.

But it's that act of trust and of letting go.

So in the spirit of letting go,

I invite you to take a final breath with me where we will breathe in everything we did and breathe out everything we did.

Let it go.

So breathing in and letting go,

Letting this magic go out.

And if you wrote your postcard to yourself,

I highly recommend mailing it.

If it's super personal and you don't want anybody to see it,

You can of course put it in an envelope.

But it's wonderful to send these messages off to ourself and it's wonderful to receive them and to have a postmark on them and to know that somebody loves us and somebody sent us a card.

Oh look,

It's from me.

I love me.

This is wonderful.

There is 100% nothing wrong with doing that.

It is beautiful.

As we finish this time of honoring those left behind,

I want to honor you for the ways that you show up for the people in your life who maybe need a little extra love and the ways you show up for yourself.

May it be so.

Thank you so much for being with us today.

Your presence,

Your energy,

And your heart make all the difference in healing our world.

Remember to breathe today.

Breathe and expand.

And I hope you join us again next time.

Please consider inviting a friend.
