Hi,
I'm Shia Astra and welcome to this session about downshifting and helping you take a breath,
Helping you come back into your body,
Helping you be here so that you can rest,
So that you can calm down.
Relax.
And maybe even.
.
.
Sleep.
The deep,
Deep,
Deep kind of sleep that you've been craving.
Take a nice deep breath.
Or just gonna start to look at the environment you've been in for most of your life.
Like if you were to zoom all the way out and just look at,
Okay,
How would I describe my life in like three words,
You might hear things like mayhem and busy and traumatic and hard.
Frustrating,
Sad.
Challenging?
And you might have words that feel better,
Like love and happy and joy.
But oftentimes it's the heavier words that hold us back into places that are harder to be in.
So these are the heavier words that often tend to come first.
And I want you to think about.
Like what are three words that when combined together?
Feels like,
Yeah,
That's been my life so far.
It's been hard,
It's been heavy,
It's been deep.
It's been painful,
It's been exciting,
And it's been traumatizing.
It's been sad.
It's been horrific.
And it's been long.
What are your three words?
We're gonna let those words be just off to the side.
Because we've got an energy that we need to bring in and it is the support of the sun.
The big,
Giant,
Warm thing in the sky.
The sun holds a lot of different energies.
It can be really hot.
It can be really prominent,
It can be really in your face.
But it also is the thing that says,
Hey,
A new day is beginning.
And that's the energy that we're gonna start to connect you to,
To connect your environment to,
To connect your feelings,
Your emotions,
Your beliefs.
To start to see a new day can come.
The sun can rise.
And things could be different.
And in order to move through with this and actually have these connect and have this work,
We need to go into some old memories that you have.
Memory is about.
Things that you thought would happen.
Not just things you want to happen,
But likely to happen.
You really thought it was going to happen.
You really thought it was going to come together.
You really thought it was going to work.
You really thought like this is what tomorrow will bring.
This is the outcome that's going to happen.
This is what I can rest my head on and trust in.
What were they?
While you're thinking of these.
We're just gonna start to connect.
Some new energies.
Along with that sun energy.
And it has to do with like in the microcosm.
Very small.
We're looking at cellular regeneration.
How do cells turn over?
How do skin cells regenerate so that we have new skin cells that are born?
How do we have that turnover process happen?
Because there's all these things about those three words that we brought in that are like,
That can't change.
And when we say,
Well,
The sun's gonna come out tomorrow,
Like Annie would,
Daddy Warbucks would,
It can be really hard to believe.
We want to believe.
But it's hard to actually see it.
Has soaked.
And so we're going to bring in that concept of cellular regeneration and how the skin sloughs off and how things turn over.
Because that's a process your body knows.
So in the microcosm,
Cellular regeneration.
God bless.
When we stretch back to the macrocosm and we say,
Wait a second,
How do we do that process in other ways?
How do we use turnover and regeneration to actually change our life?
How do I turn over my feelings?
How do I regenerate new beliefs,
New ideas,
New systems that work better than the old?
So we're going to start to get your brain to see both the left side,
The right side,
The front,
The back.
All the way deep in the center.
These parts of the brain to see.
Hey.
You already know how to do this.
What if we were to apply this?
What if we were to take the concept of regeneration?
Turn over.
There you go,
Nice deep breath.
And apply it to you,
To your life,
To what you want,
To where you're going.
And what if sleep was the place where this could happen?
So we're going to look at the different brainwaves that happen as you start to relax,
As you start to head to bed.
And we're going to take those three words,
And you can bring them back to your mind,
The three words that we started off with,
And we're going to start to release them,
To take them out from the brainwaves.
So it's like if you were seeing these brainwaves as actual waves in front of you,
The words that you had before were streaming through them.
We're taking them out now.
Nice,
Deep breath.
What if sleep was easy?
What if sleep was sweet?
Or regenerative or nourishing.
What if sleep was rest?
Calm.
Soul.
What is it that you want to feel for your sleep?
Find three words.
I want my sleep to be restorative.
Easy and effortless.
I want my sleep to be soothing.
And nourishing.
And helpful.
I want my sleep to be incredible.
And grounded and steady.
I want my sleep to be full of love.
And happy feelings.
And tenderness.
What are yours?
We're going to take these three new words.
And we're gonna swap them out with the three happy words that we had before.
You may find that some of the words match up.
You might even find that you want to keep one of your original words,
And you can,
But I would encourage you to at least check,
Is it the word that you want to keep?
Or do you want a new version of that word?
Replace them.
Three brand new words.
And take one more nice deep breath.
And we're gonna let sleep be.
These three new words.
We're gonna let the sun shine.
Tomorrow?
Your hopes and dreams,
What could be,
And all the things that happen when you downshift and you come in your body and you relax.
Bring in these three words too.
If there's anywhere else that you want to apply these three words to you can do that now.
One more nice deep breath.
You may want to listen to this session again later today,
Tomorrow.
And notice how your sleep shifts over the next week or two.
Notice what changes when you wake up in the morning and you look out at your day.
And notice what's different in the way you see things,
Your outlook.
How you think about new things that are coming.
Because we've connected into that regeneration,
Into that turnover,
Into that new day,
Sun is shining.
The sun will come out tomorrow.
So now is where you rest.
And you let yourself rest.
Until it's time to meet it.
Stay here as long as you need.
When you're ready.
Slowly open your eyes.
And come back to them.
