Let us move into our practice.
Close the eyes.
And of course,
If it's uncomfortable to close the eyes,
You can just have the gaze soft looking downward.
So there's less external distraction through vision.
Roll your shoulders up and back a few times and start to breathe deeply.
Let's roll the shoulders up and back a few more times and start to deepen your breath.
Feel like you're creating space inside.
And then relax the shoulders back and down.
Feel the chest broad and open,
The space of the heart relaxed.
Feel your hips sinking down,
Your tailbone relaxing back and down,
Removing any overarching in the back.
Feel a space between your teeth.
The jaw starts to hang and the throat begins to relax.
Slow deep breaths in and out.
If you're in a chair,
I invite you to have the feet on the floor,
Aware of the earth beneath you.
And if you're sitting cross-legged on a chair,
The couch or the floor,
That's also fine.
Or however you're needing to make your body comfortable for this position is just fine.
One reason we sit upright in many meditation practices is so there's an alertness and also so the energy can move freely up and down the central channel,
Up and down the spine.
Feel your belly softening.
It's all placed a hand on the belly.
Many of us have this unconscious or even conscious habit of kind of keeping the belly tight all of the time.
So feel like your belly can soften into your hand,
Even if it doesn't actually move.
Imagine that there's this unwinding softening happening in the belly.
As you inhale,
Feel your belly expand into your hand.
And of course,
If you can't move your body,
You can just imagine this.
We'll breathe this way for the next minute or so.
This expansion happening in the belly,
You might also feel it happening in the chest.
And each time you feel this tendency to fall into contracted patterns in the body,
Consciously relax and feel the belly softening again.
Slowly move your palm up to your heart center.
The shoulders are relaxed,
The chest is open.
Can you feel a sense of kindness,
Caring,
Even tenderness as your hand is on your heart?
You don't have to know all of the answers.
You don't even have to know what to do or how to do it.
Can you just breathe here for a few more moments with an intention of kindness toward yourself?
With an intention of kindness toward yourself.
Jaws relaxed.
Relax the hand down,
Rest both hands on the knees or the thighs with the palms facing upward.
And then you can just stop and back again,
Take this more receptive posture.
As we move into repeating these affirmations,
It's okay if you don't believe them.
I invite you to conjure the images in your mind,
The good feelings that you feel accompany that go with this affirmation.
Start to bring this affirmation to life inside of you,
As if it is true,
Imagine it as if it is so,
As if it is happening right now,
Not someday in the future,
But imagine these good feelings as if they're already here.
Let's take a conscious breath together in and out.
You may wish to have a hand on the heart throughout this practice,
Your choice.
I am so grateful for my life.
I am so grateful for my life.
I am so grateful for my life.
I'm so grateful for myself.
I'm so grateful for myself.
I'm grateful for my beautiful creative mind.
I am grateful for my beautiful creative mind.
I am deeply grateful for my loving heart.
I am deeply grateful for my loving heart.
I am deeply grateful for my loving heart.
I am grateful for my loving heart.
I am grateful for this body,
Always doing its best.
I am grateful for this body,
Always doing its best.
I am learning to love myself.
I am learning to love myself.
I am learning to love myself.
I am learning to love myself.
I am releasing all negative beliefs about myself.
I am releasing all negative beliefs about myself.
I see now these beliefs are untrue.
I see now these beliefs are untrue.
I see now that these beliefs are untrue.
I see now that these beliefs are untrue.
I am not my past.
I am not my past.
I am so lovable.
Breathe this in,
My friends.
Place a hand on your heart if you need it.
I am so lovable.
I am so lovable.
I am so lovable.
Just repeat this to yourself.
I am so lovable.
I am worthy of love.
I am worthy of a beautiful,
Peaceful life.
Create space inside of yourself.
Remember,
We're creating something new here,
New neural pathways,
New ways of believing.
I deserve a beautiful,
Peaceful life.
I release the past and I welcome the present.
I am not who I thought I was.
I am light.
I am power.
I am passion.
I am love.
I am the world.
I am the world.
I am the world.
I am love.
I am not who I thought I was.
I am light.
I am power.
I am passion.
I am love.
I release these old beliefs.
I am light.
I release these old beliefs.
I am light.
I am capable.
I am confident.
I am capable.
I am confidence.
And at any time during this practice,
You feel like expressing with your body,
Maybe opening your arms,
Your chest,
Holding a power pose with your arms open or your chest open.
Anytime you feel like doing this,
Go ahead.
Moving the body is a great way to help to create new neural pathways.
I am powerful beyond my imagination.
I am powerful beyond my imagination.
I believe in myself.
I believe in myself.
Again,
Feel this deeply inside.
Breathe it all the way down into your root chakra,
Your pelvis.
I believe in myself.
I believe in myself.
I have so many gifts to share with the world.
I have so many gifts to share with the world.
I am courageous.
Chest open,
Breathe deeply.
I am courageous.
I can create my dreams.
I can create my dreams.
I am living a life of my dreams fulfilled.
Feel that.
Take an extra few moments here.
Imagine what a life of your dreams fulfilled feels like,
Looks like.
I am living a life of my dreams fulfilled.
Take a few moments here in silence for you to play with this in your imagination,
In your heart.
See it.
What do you hear?
What do you smell?
What do you taste?
Where are you?
Who are you with?
Living a life of your dreams fulfilled.
And breathe deeply.
Chest open,
Throat open.
Even smile.
Feel it in your heart.
Go beyond the doubting mind.
Amazing new opportunities always come my way.
Amazing new opportunities always come my way.
I attract beautiful,
Healthy,
Loving relationships into my life.
I am proud of who I am.
I am proud of who I am.
Breathe that in deeply into your solar plexus,
Into your belly.
I love who I am.
Take a moment to think about all of the qualities about you that are wonderful.
And if it's difficult to imagine that,
Imagine seeing yourself through the eyes of the person who loves you the most.
I love who I am.
See your heart,
Your mind,
Your generosity,
The comedian that you are,
The helper that you are,
The creative person that you are,
The good friend that you are,
The amazing lover that you are.
See yourself and everything there is to love about you.
And again,
You can do this through the eyes of someone who loves you if it feels difficult to imagine it on your own.
I'll take a few extra moments here.
I love who I am.
I love who I am.
I know my worth.
I honor and respect myself.
I know my worth.
I honor and respect myself.
I deserve respect first and foremost from myself.
I deserve respect first and foremost from myself.
The more I honor myself,
The more I respect myself,
The more others honor and respect me.
Start to really get this.
The more I honor myself,
The more I respect myself,
The more honor and respect me.
It all starts with you.
I am enough just as I am.
I am enough just as I am.
My beauty transcends time and space.
My beauty transcends time and space.
My worth has nothing to do with physical attractiveness.
My worth has nothing to do with physical attractiveness.
I am worthy.
I am beautiful just because I exist.
I am worthy.
I am beautiful just because I exist.
I deeply accept myself just as I am.
I deeply accept myself just as I am.
I deeply love myself,
Every single part of me.
I deeply,
Infinitely love myself,
Every single part of me,
Just as I am.
And I'll place both of your hands on your heart if you can.
Open your chest.
Roll your shoulders back.
Sit tall.
Open your belly.
Feel yourself receptive.
Breathe deeply.
And with tenderness,
With kindness,
With compassion,
The same way that you would speak to the person you love the most in the world,
The whole creation,
Say to yourself,
I love you.
I love you.
You are my heart.
You are my heart.
You are what makes life worth living.
Speak this directly to yourself.
You are what makes life worth living.
I love your beauty.
I love your kindness.
I love your beauty.
I love your kindness.
I love everything about you,
Even the things I judge.
I'm learning to love everything about you,
Even the things I judge.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
Let us continue to repeat this to ourselves from the heart to the heart,
To our whole being.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
Continue for these next few moments to repeat this to yourself.
Breathe deeply.
Thank yourself.
Thank every part of you for this life experience.
You may wish to bring your palms to touch and bow to yourself with honor,
With reverence for your life experience.
You may wish to wrap your arms.
I love you.
I'm sorry I left you behind so many times.
I love you.
I'm here now.
I'm learning to see you.
I'm learning to listen to you.
I'm learning to love you in a whole new way.
I love you.
I cherish you.
Relax your body.
Again,
Roll your shoulders up and back a few times.
Breathe deeply.
You can move your body a little,
Wiggle your toes,
Feel your feet.
Become aware of your whole body and the space around you.
Move your spine.
Take as long as you need to be in this space.
When you feel ready to,
With this awareness of yourself,
This inner connection,
This healing with yourself from this space,
Open the eyes and see through this space within you.
Thank you,
Beloved hearts.
Thank you.
I love you.
I love you.
I cherish you.
So much tenderness.
So much love and gratitude to you.
So much tenderness.
