Hello my friend and welcome to this morning centering practice.
We're going to be seated during this practice.
So either choosing to sit in a chair with your feet on the floor.
Or sitting comfortably in a cross-legged position If you're here,
Really helpful to sit on some cushioning,
Right?
I've got this meditation cushion.
Anytime you can prop up your hips so that they're at least the height of your knees,
If not slightly above the knees.
Going to be much more comfortable for you and then take some time to settle in.
Start to close the eyes.
You might gently roll through the shoulders a couple times.
Breathe down into the hips and settle into your hips.
Any comfortable position for your arms Your eyes are closed.
The awareness starts to go inward.
Begin to establish a nice,
Relaxed breath through your nose.
Smooth,
Even breath rhythm.
And allow yourself to soften each time you breathe out.
So as your body exhales,
You feel a release of tension through the shoulders and arms and face.
In each breath,
Your awareness draws more and more inward.
Becoming aware and connecting to the very vibrant and real inner reality.
This inner aspect of yourself.
Allow your breath to fill the space of your body.
Breathe into your inner space.
Keeping your connection to this inner reality.
Let your awareness travel to the space outside your body.
Filling the space of the room that you're in.
And then even beyond.
So allowing.
.
.
Yourself to become aware of the space all around you.
Notice what kind of sounds you hear.
And just allow the external world to be exactly as it is.
No desire to change anything.
And then awareness comes back inward.
You feel the breath and you're aware of the space that your body occupies.
Each breath gently calming the body and nourishing the mind.
Let your mind rest on the awareness of your breath.
Become curious of your own breath.
At the core of our being is a state of perfect balance.
Perfect piece.
When we take moments like this to become still,
And bring awareness inward.
Little by little we begin to have an experience.
Of that perfect balance in peace residing deep within So allow the experience of peace to continue to evolve.
Feel your inner space filled.
With the light of your breath.
Each inhale,
Bringing in fresh energy.
Each exhale,
Calming and relaxing the body.
And you're welcome to stay here as long as you'd like.
In a moment we'll close together.
But I want you to really check in with yourself and notice how you feel.
Observe your inner reality.
Notice the power of stillness,
The power of presence.
And continue to come back to this practice Come back to your own stillness.
Deepening your present moment awareness.
Anytime throughout the day that you need to reset.
If you'd like,
You can bring your hands to prayer and gently bow the head.
Honoring yourself and honoring this moment.
Remembering your greatness.
May the light of this practice.
Illuminate your mind and illuminate your body.
And may you shine and share that light.
With all those you interact with.

Before you open your eyes,
Rub your palms and warm up your hands.
Wake up the nerve endings in the palms,
Generate some heat.
And when they're nice and warm,
Cover your eyes.
And allow that warmth to nourish the eyes.
And you can slowly open and release the hands when you're ready.
